Caught my first rainbow on the fly! Dale is very patient and knowledgeable, and was able to teach two of us how to fly fish. We had a blast!!

Marble Canyon Outfitters is all I use. They’re the only outfit I know that allows you to bring canoes. They’re thorough and flexible while booking with good communication day of trip. Will use them next year also!

We had a fantastic experience with Marble Canyon Outfitters! Very easy booking and great communication beforehand. They texted us the day before with an earlier opening to see if we'd prefer that time. On the day of, our backhaul driver was very friendly- we saw him halfway through and he pointed out a hike to check out along the river! All in all, highly recommend!

I booked a day fly fishing with Marble Canyon Outfitters. My guide was Shaun. Shaun was very nice, cordial, professional, a knowledgeable fly fishing guide, and a good conversationalist. We met at the Lee’s Ferry boat ramp at 0700. I had been expecting a conventional drift boat, but instead, we spent the day going up and down the Colorado River, finding good spots, and simply drifting the boat downstream through good spots. We fished nymphs, dead drift on a long leader under a strike indicator most of the day, and hopper-dropper combinations when that seemed appropriate. Casting the long, oddly weighted leader-nymph combination is challenging, but fortunately you can get drifts that are several minutes long, and don’t have to cast often. Be sure and practice mending the line to get a drag-free drift. The scenery is stunning, the water is absolutely clear, and the fishing was great. I caught more trout than I’ve ever caught in one day, approximately 25, all rainbows. I only caught on small fish, about 10”; several 18”, and most of them in the 15-16” range. All heavy, strong fish for their length, and the most brilliantly colored rainbows I’ve ever seen. As a bonus, we saw a couple of groups of desert bighorn sheep- something I’d wanted to see for a long time. I had a great day, and I can highly recommend Marble Canyon Outfitters and Shaun. If I’m ever back in that area, I will book with them again.

Our family spent the afternoon kayaking and taking in the majestic canyons along the Colorado River starting at Horseshoe Bend. Dale did a wonderful job bringing us up the river to the drop-off point and pointing out great spots to stop along the way. Thanks for a memorable adventure!
