Our trip to South Coyote Butte was the highlight of our trip.(5 out of 5). I found this trip on the internet under Grand circle tours. I was contacted by Kyle Walker who took some information for me regarding what I was hoping for. I told Kyle that me and my wife could hike approximately 5 mi. Kyle also told me that this wilderness area would require a permit which could only be acquired by lottery on the day before the hike. Because I wasn't in kanab, he did me the favor of sending one of his employees to BLM on the day before the hike. Fortunately he was able to get the permits. Only 20 people are allowed in this area per day.

I have to say that Kyle was outstanding in several respects. First Kyle's main priority was safety. That was clear in his approach to the trip. Second, he did us the favor of obtaining the permits for this wilderness area. Third, The hike that he prepared for us was the perfect distance for me and my wife, presumably due to his careful preparation beforehand. But it was also clear that he could make the hike flexible to go further if we wanted or less if we needed. 4th, he made sure to bring snacks and plenty of water. Lastly he was very knowledgeable about the terrain and took us to the spots with the best views. The terrain was breathtaking. I would recommend this trip highly to anyone interested in seeing the vermilion cliffs national monument. If you go, I would recommend that you ask for Kyle Walker!

Thank you for taking the time to review the trip. You made an outstanding choice with South Coyote Buttes. This is one of the most colorful places in the area and often makes for a highlight on any trip. it was a joy to spend the day with you in one of my favorite places in the Vermilion Cliffs.

My family thoroughly enjoyed the Peek a Boo Canyon tour with our wonderful guide, Bruce. He drove us through gnarly sand filled roads to our destination. The canyon was stunning and Bruce even took some great family photos for us and he has already texted them to me. After seeing the Canyon he also drove us around Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and he showed us Hidden Lake. It was a fabulous day and it ranks right up there with some of the guided tours that I have experienced in Europe as it showcased Utah's impressive slot canyon beauty. Thank you for a fun time!

My wife and I took the South Coyote Buttes tour which you needed permits for. There was a young couple that were also on the tour as well as our guide, Mark.

The area is a photographer's dream There are beautiful rock formations everywhere you look. Mark, knew the area well and guided us in a way that allowed us to see much more of the Buttes than if we had gone on our own. He made sure we had adequate water, food, and bathroom breaks on the way to and from the buttes. The pacing was good considering two of us were in our 70's and the couple was in their 30's. The drive is long and the roads bumpy and sandy but we were driven in a way that minimized any discomfort. We stopped at a Condor viewing site which also added to enjoyment of the tour.

We were pleased with the tour and Mark, our tour guide, and recommend Vermilon Cliffs tours

We booked a tour with Grand Circle Tours and our tour guide was Kyle. We originally wanted to go to Antelope Canyon to see the colorful rock formations but the canyon is located on a Navajo reservation and it was closed to the public because of the pandemic. Not knowing the area we put our trust in Kyle and were rewarded with a wonderful tour. It was exactly what we wanted to see, in fact, it exceeded our expectations. My husband and I are both in our early 70's, both of us are fairly active but we were not sure if we could do this tour. Kyle took his time with us and we rested periodically. He adjusted the tour based on our capabilities. In our case it was about 7 miles round trip. The track has very little climbing and very little ups and downs. We were able to see and enjoy the rock formations. They are incredible. On top of all this, the place was not crowded. It was the high light of our trip and we'll be talking about it for a long time.

Superb day with Kyle showing us all the highlights in Zion National Park. Kyle is a very knowledgeable guide and pitched the day very well. Long hike at the beginning of the day and lots of consultation on routes and options. At the end Kyle drove us through to the eastern exit to show us the views. Not part of the original plan but a great option.

I called Vermillion Cliffs Tours this Wednesday, inquiring about shuttle service to Buckskin Gulch. The date I was requesting was close to Thanksgiving, so I understood it might be difficult to secure service. When I communicated this to the man who answered the phone, he asked me to fill out a request on the website because he "wasn't near his calendar". Fair enough.

I filled out the request immediately, in a very clear and concise way. I received a message letting me know that the request was submitted, and stating that I'd hear back within 24 hours. After two days passed and I heard nothing, I responded to the message, which was directed to Kyle, listed with a Vermillion Cliffs company email address.

After another 24 hours and hearing nothing back, I called again. The same man answered the phone, this time informing me that they "weren't running tours for the rest of the month". When I asked him if he could suggest an alternative to me, he snipped back, "Look at the list."

I have no problem with a company not being able to provide an advertised service. But when you tell me you'll respond to me within a day, ignore my communication for three, then give me an attitude about something you easily could have told me to begin with, then I can only assume you are incompetent. How can I trust someone to show up on time and provide an advertised service if they can't even communicate properly beforehand?

This left a bad taste in my mouth, and is my first negative review after years on this site.

Sorry you had a poor experience with us. We are in the off season and need a little extra time to find guides to handle your request. Since there was a month before your taxi ride was needed we felt we had a few days to find a solution. You clearly didn't think we responded in a timely matter and for that we are to blame. Our customer experience is very important to us and had you been able to book something with us we are confident you would have agreed with everyone else's review that we are an outstanding company. Sadly you didn't get that chance. Hopefully you found another taxi ride.

I was staying in Page for the holidays and had to drive 2 hours (round trip) to Kanab to join the lottery for one of the 10 permits to the Wave... for nothing: we were over 50 people waiting in the room that day.

Thank God, I called up Kyle who suggested to guide my wife and I in the lower canyon of Coyote Butte, which was FA-BU-LOUS !!! we we all alone that day, discovering the wonders of that still less visited place.

I highly recommend Kyle Walker who is a very knowledgeable and engaging person.
When in the Lake Powell region, make sure you get in touch with him in order to discover the wonders of this area !

Jean, merci boucoup. We hope our suggestion met or exceeded your expectations for a great tour in our area. We do feel there is far too much fanfare about the wave when there are several destinations on Vermilion Cliffs that are equal to or even better than the most famous place. The crowds are always bigger at the wave and too many times the rest of the monument is overlooked. Thank you for hiring us to take you out for a very special day.

They may accept the payment and forget you, as they forgot about us. I called them several times - then, according to the instructions I got on the phone, I book the tour via their webpage after that I confirmed the tour dates on the phone. I booked it half a year in advance. We came to Kanab from Phoenix especially for this tour. And they forgot about us. They kept the money for half a year in advance but they forgot. We booked overnight tour, we went there especially to see Perseides rain and to photograph it. Eventually, we got a tour to White Pocked during the day - we both are photographers and even if White Pocket is a great place, it was not what we expected and not what we booked. They never apologized they never offered any compensation. We travel a lot, nothing like that ever happened to us.

Magda, we are sorry you did not have a good experience with us. Possibly the language barrier was the issue in this matter. We keep all orders/payemnts on file and the trip you booked and paid for was not only the trip we ran you but it was also on the date you requested in the payment. After you demanded a meteor shower tour we told you we didn't offer that and were happy to refund your money in full. You chose to attend our tour and then complain about this trip in a dishonest way after taking 300 photos at White Pockets. People rely on these reviews for an accurate depiction of what they can expect and you are leaving out major facts of this tour. Imagining a trip in your mind doesn't not mean we offer that dream. We have what's on the website and that's what you paid for. Yes you paid 6 months in advance for the trip and we did receive payment for the trip but your idea of a meteor shower and our clear description of the white Pockets tour you booked are galaxies apart. We have not changed our White Pockets tour descriptions in over 15 years. Again I am sure language played a major role in you not understanding the difference but we stand by our trip 100%. Find Perseides anywhere on our website and you will get a 100% refund.

I've seen a lot of the southwest in 3 decades of visiting Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico, but I know when I and my rental vehicle are overmatched! It was great getting to a spectacular spot like White Pockets with a skillful and extremely knowledgeable guide & driver like Kyle. No one would say the roads are comfortable, but I was perfectly comfortable with Kyle's piloting and well-maintained vehicles. Kyle and Rob's enthusiasm for guiding made every part of my two journeys fun. Kyle even went an hour out of his way to return the cell phone I left in his car, which was much appreciated.

Both guys were attentive to what we each wanted from the experience, and were helpful whenever needed without putting themselves in the way. On the Buckskin Gulch walk we encountered a little rattler which had the misfortune of landing in the slot, and Rob dealt with this frightened, dangerous, and beautiful creature respectfully and safely. We got great pictures!

I don't think you can do better.
