A dream, magical, breathtaking, I could run out of adjectives to describe this trip

We just finished the lower canyon hybrid trip, with both oar and paddle boats. I'm a paddle boat type of guy and would have loved to have paddled every day, but regardless of your preference, oar/paddle is an amazing way to experience the river. The food was unlike anything I expected while camping, we certainly didn't lose any weight while... More

Here I currently sit a month later after a week rafting 187 miles on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I am still about rendered speechless by the experience. During that week, I was freezing...broiling hot...wet from rain, swimming, rapids and tears (from complete fear)...always in awe of our grand old canyon's glory, power and beauty. It's so much... After a 6-day oar trip 3 years ago I was lucky enough to return to Grand Canyon with my parents and younger brother this June for double the time. My Mum and Dad fell in love with the place (and WRA) almost 20 years ago and that’s certainly something that’s been passed down in the genes. There wasn’t a moment... More

My husband and I decided we wanted to do something different for our 35th anniversary so we booked the 4 ½ day lower river trip. Wildernesses River Adventures and their teams will take care of you start to finish. The hike down is at your own pace and the guide stays behind the last hiker. The last part (1/2 mile... More

Without a doubt, the crew made this trip an incredible one! Husband and I and our two sons (14,18) did the 4 day lower canyon trip. We hiked down the Bright Angel trail and met up with the crew at the boat beach near Phantom Ranch. From the start Brendyce and her crew (Erica, Neal and Kale) took excellent care... More

An "AWESOME" 8 day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. The crew, Sean, James and Tyler were outstanding! Meals were great! Tremendous scenery, exciting white-water (9 &10 rapids), Desert Bighorn Sheep, new sleeping bag provided, comfortable cots to sleep on under the stars, tents in case of rain. Great camping locations. Fun helicopter ride out of canyon upon completion of... More

If you are looking for a Grand Canyon tour group, Wilderness River Adventures is the group to use. The booking was simple and they provided a thorough information packet regarding the trip. We took an 8 day motorized tour. The River guides, Sean, Tyler, and James were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the trip more enjoyable. They were also... More

This is my 3rd trip with WRA, and will not be my last. From the great scenery to the great food and side hikes, all top notch. Okie, Tim, Erica, Amanda, Tyler, Craig and Siobhan were all great guides. If you needed something, they would drop whatever they were doing and make sure you were happy. Please remember these great... More

Just got back from a trip with WRA and couldn't be happier. Words can't adequately explain how amazing the Grand Canyon is when viewed from the river, you just have to see it yourself. I can describe how well WRA did though. My husband, father-in-law, several friends and I did the 6.5 day motorized trip. Our crew (Al, Billy, Maggie... More

We did the May 2016 12-day hybrid oar/paddle trip and it was great! We were blessed with fantastic weather, with a bit of wind being the only negative. The biggest surprise for me was the quality of the side hikes. They were both beautiful and interesting. OK, really the biggest surprise was that two of our guides got married on... More
