Seeing Antelope Canyon on foot is certainly incredible and a must-do in Page (slash the world), but seeing a wider portion of it from the water is an awesome experience that shouldn't be missed either. It's great because you'll escape the masses who see it...More

I expected this kayaking tour to be more fun. Not a fault of the tour guide. It was because I have done kayaking on the river before which was a lot of fun. Kayaking on the reservour just wasn't the same in my opinion.

It was a good positive experience do kayak in this fantastic canyon. We enjoyed it a lot, we had also the possibility to do cliff jumping from the canyon, amazing! The negative thing is that there are too much motorboats that can put in difficulty...More

Too hot is probably not that big a problem in mid-November, but why ask us, just call Hidden Canyon.

Lake Powell - transportation to Rainbow Bridge (16 Replies)
On our Grand Canyon Adventure in September we will be spending a few days in Page, AZ/Lake Powell. During our time in Page we want to spend time on the lake and see Rainbow Bridge. We are trying to decide how to do this (Boat Tour has already been cut from the list). Our two options: 1. Guided Kayak Trip with boat charter to Rainbow Bridge through Hidden Canyon Kayak (has anyone used them?) Pros: Kayaking is fun; reasonably priced Cons: The guided tour limits flexibility 2. Renting a...More

It's a long way from Page to Rainbow Bridge. Why wouldn't you book a tour? Booking a kayak trip is still going to require the same boat ride up Lake Powell and you won't see Rainbow Bridge from a kayak. As you are aware, renting a power boat is very expensive and adds risks and requirements. You won't really see any more of Lake Powell in your own rental boat. It's still a long way and you'll be traveling the same route as the tour boats.

My boyfriend and I saw some amazing Lake Powell pictures and thus have decided to do a week trip to explore the area. We are mid 30s/early 40s and love outdoor activities. The top for us would be a kayaking trip on the lake. Below is our tentative itinerary (next May) and I would appreciate any feedback. In particular I want to make sure we are seeing the highlights of what the area has to offer and not missing anything. I know first day is a tad rushed only because we want to see the Grand...More

Thanks Tet. I have been to GCNP a couple of times but my boyfriend hasn't. He was hoping to get a glimpse this time and maybe do a separate trip some other time. I was worried about being too ambitious that day. I will look into overnight at GCNP. We had heard Wahweap Marina is a good place to see sunset. Since we were planning a busy day 1, we thought we'd take it easy the next day and do a couple of short trails including horseshoe bend and then see the sunset. Is there another place...More

Hidden Canyon Kayak. I'm trying to decide between half day Lone Rock, or half day Antelope Canyon, or whole day Slot Canyon. There are plenty of reviews saying how each are awesome. I was wondering if someone had done them all, or at least two that could lean me towards one?
