I really cannot add anything else to what has been said in the many 5 star reviews already posted. The fact that there is only one that isn't 5 star, and it's a 4 star, speaks for itself. This is a pretty expensive trip but worth every penny, a once in a lifetime for most of us. I will say that there is one somewhat negative thing folks may need to be aware of. It isn't the fault of the Sea Wolf owners or crew since it is, at lest in parts of Glacier Bay, a restriction on noise by the park service. The ship's generator has to be turned off at 10:00 PM each night and not turned on until 6:30 the next morning. There is an inverter powered by batteries for essential lights and equipment but there isn't enough power to run the fresh water pumps or the vacuum system that operates the toilets. Thus no fresh water in the bathroom or flushing of toilets during this time. Those of us old guys get to practice the "if its yellow, let it mellow" mantra all week long.

That said, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The entire trip was perfectly perfect. We traveled from Juneau to Ketchikan over 11 days and each and every day was amazing.

Our group consisted of former brain injury patients with varying levels of abilities. It didn’t matter…the Sea Wolf and all activities were accessible and the crew customized daily excursions to meet the needs of our group.

The ship is well equipped and quaint. It’s small and can easily dip into the best spots! The beauty of the landscape and seascape is incredible. The crew was phenomenal. The food prepared by Chef Sven was top notch. The naturalists, Beth and Jenny, were terrific and shared so much knowledge. Captain Hans was so friendly and navigated the waters with excellence. Engineer Kevin kept the entire Sea Wolf humming. And Kimber, the owner, has a heart of gold and a brilliant mind.

I’d recommend this trip to anyone who would love to connect with beautiful Alaska on so many levels. Daily hikes and kayaking and opportunities to be alongside all kinds of wildlife…it truly was a trip of a lifetime for us.

If I could give this trip a million stars…that wouldn’t be enough. Highly recommended!

Outstanding cruise on the M/V Sea Wolf with Sea Wolf Adventures out of Gustavus, AK June 4-9. A group of family and friends chartered the Sea Wolf for a cruise of Glacier Bay National Park. It was an experience all of us will never forget. Besides the grandeur of Glacier Bay, the Captain and crew were outstanding. Historical ship in beautiful shape and very comfortable. Unbelievable chef and meals. Guides and naturalists were knowledgeable, skilled and just great people. We highly recommend Sea Wolf Adventures to anyone who wants a small ship experience with great crew and who want to get up close and in touch with beautiful Glacier Bay.

Exploring Glacier Bay on the Sea Wolf raises the bar for experiencing the majesty of Alaska. The crew ensures a personalized experience for each guest and the ship itself allows for informal, intimate interactions whether hiking, paddling, birding, whale/wildlife watching or enjoying meals. You chose what works for you and the Sea Wolf team makes it happen, no matter your interests and abilities. This small ship navigates inlets, coves and small bays to bring the scenery to life. Observe glaciers by kayak and hike among icebergs at low tide. Become a student of nature, learn the history of the region and come to know influence of the native Tlingit people. Expect to be completely “off the grid” and prepare to embrace being in the moment because of it. You will not regret the time or sacrifice it may take to be lucky enough to immerse yourself in all the Sea Wolf offers.

Spectacular trip. You start with incredible scenery — glaciers, whales, bears, sea lions, seals, mountain goats, puffins, seat otters, seals — and then add knowledgeable naturalists, delectable food, sea kayaking, hikes, and most importantly staff who go out of their way to anticipate and meet your needs, it can’t be beat. We’ve traveled the world and this was one of the 5 best trips ever.

Spectacular country. Great kayak experiences. Too early in the year for many on land animal sightings but plenty of whales and a few Orcas. Hard work in a wheelchair as everything on board very tight small and challenging including cabin. Crew fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable. Special thanks to skipper Keith ( very experienced and capable skipper ) Nina and Alex. Their assistance to get me into kayaks and skiff was exceptional. Food was disappointing though one or two meals very tasty. Wines were a good quality and variety. Great trip for able bodied people. If in a wheelchair need to be strong and mobile and a capacity to walk beneficial. Hard work but glad for the experience. Thanks to all onboard.

My second time on the Sea Wolf! Would recommend for those who don't want to see Alaska from cruise-ship distance; those that want to kayak near glaciers and those that like moderate hikes to see nature. The guides are naturalists and can ID plants, footprints, flitting birds and more.

There aren't enough words of excitement and positive regard to describe this trip. It was beyond amazing!! The experiences we had like kayaking with the whales, hiking where brown bears had just been, holding sea stars, getting a glacial facial and picking our own bull kelp for dinner were memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. Glacier Bay is an unbelievably beautiful place but what really made it an over the top experience was the staff. They were all so knowledgeable and fun-loving. They made the experience for me and I feel like I got to know each one of them personally. You can't beat this trip for an amazing vacation! It was a total nature emersion.

This trip can only be described with an abundance of superlatives. The whale activity was incredible--both Humpback and Orcas close enough to be viewed without the need for binoculars. Dall porpoises, sea lions, sea otters, so many bird varieties the list would be too long... The Sea Wolf crew alone makes the trip worthwhile as their collective knowledge of the territory and its inhabitants is mind boggling. Dare I mention three gourmet meals a day!!!!! Truly an experience to be remembered forever.

This was our third amazing adventure aboard the Sea Wolf. We sailed from Juneau to Gustavus with 9 of our friends. Everyday was filled with kayaking, hiking, wildlife sightings, good food and fun. The crew is great; very professional and helpful. The naturalist Monika has a depth of knowledge which she enthusiastically shared with us daily. Exceptional experience.
