While doing some research for a full day rafting adventure on the Middle Flathead while in Montana near Glacier National Park, I came across Wild River Adventures. Not too many raft companies in the area were still offering a full day with part float and part rapids including lunch for September 18 but the owner of Wild River agreed to accommodate our party of 5 adults even though they had closed for the season a few days before. WOW! We had the absolute BEST time! Josh, our river guide was fun, knowledgeable, and a great guide with lots of information about Glacier National Park and the river and history. Would never had known it was his first year on the river! We really enjoyed having him as our guide and we shared a lot of laughs! Wild River Adventures prepares all their guides for rafting this river with everything they need to run a safe but amazing experience. Lunch was delicious with local deli and cookies. The river was scenic with still just the right amount of rapids in some places for a few thrills even though the river water level is lower at the end of the season. The float portion stunning! I also highly recommend this rafting company. Friendly staff and responsible owners with integrity and safety in mind make for a great experience!

We signed up for a rafting trip with dinner, and it was the BEST. Our rafting guides and dinner cooks were Beaves and Devin, and our dinner group included a family of 9 and 3 couples. We were in the 'couples' raft with Beaves as our guide. He made the entire trip enjoyable and informative with his positive 'let's have fun' attitude. He guided us through the rapids without any mishaps or overboards, at the same educating us about the river and it's history. He pointed out where he had seen bears at the rivers edge, or where the river level was at during past floods and other interesting facts or features. Dinner was set up and prepared by our guides. They had chairs and tables set, chips and salsa, veggies with dip and sliced melons ready for us. Dinner was baked potatoes, salad with 6 or 8 dressing options, and either salmon (very good and not overcooked), steak, chicken or veggie burger. A dessert of shortcake and a berry mixture with whipped cream topped it off.
All in all a great experience and we were very happy with Wild River Adventures, and we would highly recommend the dinner trip with Beaves and Devin as your guides.

Our guide was Ethan. Despite our large family of six, most of whom are over 6 feet tall, he handled the boat with confidence and great knowledge! He was patient, and shared knowledge of around every bend. We even had one child it was slightly anxious about white water rafting, and she had no fear whatsoever; instead had the time of her life! We would definitely recommend this outfitter for white water rafting and hope that one day will be able to return to Glacier to go once again!

I highly recommend using Wild River Adventures, specifically the guides SLATER and JOSH, for an amazing time on the Flathead River. Our family of five (including 3 teens ages 13,16, and 18), kayaked down the middle fork of the Flathead River. The whole experience from ease of scheduling, professional staff, safety instruction, excellent equipment was top notch. And as far as delivering the exciting adventure my crew was hoping to enjoy, the guides knocked it out of the ball park!!! My teens were smiling from ear to ear. By far our family’s favorite memory from this trip to Glacier National Park. (The families in the rafts that we went down with seemed to have just as much fun. So kayaking OR rafting is a win with Slater and Josh.)

Hi there! Reviews like this make us smile ear to ear here at Wild River. :) Thank you so much for coming out with us and adventuring with the Wild River crew. Josh and Slater are certainly fabulous guides that know how to make any trip a good time. Come again any time, the Middle Fork will be waiting!

We floated the Flathead River today with Will, and it was a great experience. I have three boys with the youngest being eight and the oldest 17. To say it’s difficult to make everyone happy is an understatement, but Will kept the conversations going during the slow parts of the trip and expertly navigated the river for the rapids.
It wasn’t the most thrilling experience as far as rapids, but it was perfect for an eight year old and entertained the rest of the family as well.
We would definitely recommend Wild River, and specifically Will if anyone is looking for a fun way to spend a few hours.

Wild River Adventures is a very customer service oriented outfitter. From refunding our booking without hesitation during covid 2020 to answering questions and rebooking in 2021, they made sure we were happy. The river was low (totally out of their control) during our 1/2 day river raft, but Blake (Chubs) worked hard to ensure we had a fun adventure. While the girls rafted the men went on a full day fly fishing adventure. It's hard to get a lot of details out of men, but they were pleased with the expertise of their guide. They thought he was much older than he was because of the experience he provided. Wild River Adventures is a clean (yay for clean bathrooms!), easy to find establishment. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Wild River adventures guides do a great job making you feel safe and comfortable on the river. It was our first time rafting, my husband and I are 44, and our guide Annie did a great job explaining the paddle strokes, what to do if someone falls out of the raft (no one did) and preparing us when a rapid was coming up. I was concerned about being cold, it was about 70 degrees and cloudy, but Wild River supplies you with wetsuits to keep you warm. I wore a bathing suit and a dry fit long sleeved shirt under mine and was comfortable. The water is frigid and you will get wet, so the wetsuits really helped. The trip lasted about 2 hours. It was really fun with just the right amount of excitement. We also did the dinner after. There was a threat of rain, so we didn’t get to eat by the river unfortunately. The food was good, and maybe if we would’ve gotten to eat by the river the ambience would’ve been better- but when I book this trip again I would probably skip the dinner part.

I planned this in advance for our family with a 10 and 15 year old. They can’t stop talking about it. Our guide (the best guide) Jason provided history, commentary and humor while giving us a great rafting experience. We never felt unsafe for our first trip but had pure excitement and a great trip.
Def must while you are in Glacier to enjoy the most beautiful scenery and have an amazing adventure! TIP: Wear the jacket they give you and make sure to tighten up the arms and neck area!

We kayaked full day 7/31/21. Due to water levels being low and our sense of adventure being high, we chose to use the inflatable kayaks on the full-day trip. We are experienced kayakers. We had a great time on the white water section during the first half of the trip. The river side lunch prepared by the guide was fresh and delicious. The second half of the trip is just a float. We had to paddle the entire second half of the trip trying to keep up with the raft. The rafts are quite a bit faster with more people paddling. The scenery was great, but we did not have the same opportunities to enjoy the views as the raft riders. Since there was not a guide in a kayak, we missed out on hearing about the area, river, history, etc that you would normally get from the raft guide. The guide in the raft occasionally gave us guidance on which lines to take through rapids.
We would not do the full day in a kayak again due to the second half being such a hard paddle.
The guides could have been a bit more considerate and allowed us to take short rest from paddling. This might be completly different if the river levels were higher or if a guide was also kayaking.

Our family had an AMAZING rafting adventure with the Wild River crew. Their main office is very organized, and they send confirmations and reminders before your scheduled reservation. The real magic is their amazing team of raft guides. They're all friendly, charismatic and funny. Their energy is contagious, and they rally everyone incredibly well as you take your bus trip to the river. The rafts are well kept. Our guide was Maddy, and she is a real-life superhero -- always attentive to everything happening on the river while never losing sight of the importance of connecting with everyone on the raft. She does an excellent job of communicating safety rules, preparing guests for each major rapid. Her meticulous approach makes it easy for adults and kids to accelerate the learning curve and move fun in the process. If you want the assurance of relying on a team of experts for your next rafting adventure, you will be hard pressed to find a better team than Wild River.
