Our locally owned and operated eco-conscious company, based in West Glacier, Montana offers private and public tours in and around Glacier. Guided activities include whitewater rafting, scenic floating, hiking, biking, backpacking, and fishing. Equipment sales and rentals are available, too. We also operate the quiet, cozy Glacier Guides Lodge at the west entrance to Glacier National Park, and we have charming Guest Houses available for family escapes. We provide exceptional, interpretive adventures in the Glacier National Park area, while always protecting Glacier’s unique ecosystem. A Splashing Success!

This was an amazing experience! Our guide Anders made the trip fun, informative, and exciting! We went in late August 2024 and while the river was low, the rapids were still exciting and the views were breathtaking. We would highly recommend white-water rafting with this company, not only was it a splashing success, but also very safe! They provide a lot of the necessary gear to keep you safe and comfortable.

Ideal first rafting experience

Candace was a terrific guide. None of us had rafted before, and she worked with us on form so that we wouldn't get too tired or sore. She knew a lot about the flora and fauna, and she prepared us well and in advance for each rapids section and obstacle. She was pleasant to spend several hours with. We highly recommend a day on the river with Glacier Guides and Montana Raft!

White water raft, 3 hour trip, middle fork of the Flathead River, Glacier National Park

Jesse and Evon were excellent guides on the final day of the 2024 white water rafting season in Glacier National Park. It started chilly and overcast but the sun came out and we had a great time rafting the class 1-3 rapids of the river at this time of year. They made it fun and informative and safe. Many thanks for a great trip. Hope to do this again or maybe a full day or even overnight.

Excellent 1/2 rafting trip with yummy dinner

We did the 1/2 day rafting trip that included dinner. Our guide, Hunter, was informative, professional and competent. Not only did he guide us through rapids with Sun, rain, hail, lightening & thunder BUT he cooked our delicious salmon dinner afterwards. Thank you, GG!

Highly Recommend!

Suki was the best guide we could’ve asked for during our first rafting experience!! She taught us everything we needed to know to be prepared for the ride and made sure all of us were comfortable and safe during it, while also providing a fun environment for all the riders. Suki was very friendly and conversational which made our experience even more enjoyable. She was also extremely knowledgeable about the nature we were seeing and the history regarding it. We would highly recommend Glacier Guides and Montana Raft!

Great guide for rapids rafting and sights

Was part of a full boat for a half day rapids rafting trip with Mia as our guide. The headquarters had all the gear we could need and more and was punctual to get us going on time. Mia was the best raft guide and an even better comic, we had an unforgettable trip down the South fork. 11/10 would come back and encourage anyone to utilize this group.

Fun rafting adventure

Our little group had so much fun on the half day rafting experience w Glacier Guides Inc. Montana Raft! Our guide Zach was great! He was also very knowledgeable about the rock formations and water of the park since he’s studying geology in Maine! He’s hilarious too, as he demonstrated by allowing us to paddle into a rock that he jumped on to from out of our raft and proceeded to “cliff” jump off said rock right next to our raft, splashing all of us. For a split second, we didn’t know where he went and it was just so funny when we heard him yell “Yoo-hoo” from above. It definitely helped make the rafting experience 10x better. You can tell he really likes his job. Highly recommended this guided tour, even the bus ride to and from the river was great, you can tell all the guides enjoy what they do and they’re good at it!

Thank you Glacier Guides, and more importantly Lillian, for an absolutely incredible experience in the Park! We opted to dedicate one of our days to a full day hike. We lucked out and had Lillian as our guide. Not only was the hike to Firebrand Pass stunning, but Lillian made the entire experience fun and informative! She is a wealth of knowledge and very clearly loves her job and the Park. From the varied species of flowers and plants to the calls of the birds, her knowledge of the intricacies within Glacier National Park was impressive. She welcomed questions, provided excellent suggestions (both before the hike and during the hike), and she went above and beyond with the details of the experience — hearts on our lunch bags, the most delicious meal of the trip (largely due to the huckleberry goat cheese sandwich!), mid-morning snacks, and post-hike ice cold sodas. Highly recommend doing this hike (or honestly probably any of the hikes) with Glacier Guides, and hopefully you’ll be as lucky as us to have Lillian as your guide!

Amazing 2 day rafting trip.

My wife and I took a two-day trip down the middle fork of the Flathead River and had a great time. The first day was mostly scenic, and our first boat guide, Ryan, kept us informed about what we were seeing and pulled over for stops along the way for everyone to cool off. Ryan, Evan, and the team leader, Nolan, prepared a steak and salmon dinner at the camp along the river that rivaled food I've had in fine restaurants. We stayed up late with the second boat in the group and the guides marveling at the stars and a mountain goat perched on the cliff across the river from our camp with her kid for the night. The second day, Nolan took us down an extremely informative trip the rest of the way down the river and through the whitewater sections, delivering a ride that couldn't be beat.

Nolan, Ryan, and Evan are great guides with incredible knowledge of the area, they're easy to talk to, and a lot of fun to be around. The guests in both rafts hit it off, and everyone had a great time.

Excellent Company to White Water Raft With

My husband and I went on the half day white water rafting trip down Flathead River. This is an excellent company to book through because everyone gets wet suits, booties, splash gear, life jackets and helmets. We saw other boats out on the cold river with only life jackets and helmets. That water was freeing cold! If someone fell in, they would be freezing! Anyway, our guide, Rider, was excellent. He knew the river so well, told us when to paddle and when to stop. He knew the rocks and where all the sweepers were. He also gave us an excellent talk on what to do in case someone fell in. I would highly recommend this company. It was so much fun!!
