This jewel is a short 35 minutes outside of Silver City, NM on a very scenic route that is an added bonus to a trip to this winery. If you go during the weekdays they are open, you will be pleasantly received by the owners David and Esperanza who will treat you more like family or old freinds than tourists.... More

If your travel takes you through the New Mexico area and you are a wine lover, you need make some time and stop by this La Esperanza Winery. Its a little off the beaten path, but well worth it! Good wine and conversation. Worth the trip as the scenery is beautiful. Cool to see the grapes on vines as you go in. Would have liked to have been able to order cheese and crackers and have them with a glass of wine.

When my wife stay at the Georgetown Cabins Resort, we always visit La Esperanza Winery. The owners, Espy and David are such wonderful people. Everyone that visits is treated like friends or more like family. This is a super nice place to sit out in the front yard, enjoy a glass of your favorite wine and enjoy the surrounding beauty.... I took the trip out there and wasn't disappointed. Although a bit out of the way, the wine was very flavorful. My only complaint was the had no Pinot noir to sample. Overall I enjoyed myself and the staff was very friendly.

We had heard good things about this small and out of the way winery so decided to take the drive. We were very pleased about our decision as the drive is very scenic and the wines at the end were spectacular. Our host,David was very congenial, gave us a choice of five wines. One of the excellent aspects is the... More

Today, La Esperanza was hosting a Fall Art & Wine Extravanganza and we had an absolutely wonderful time! The artists had a variety of beautiful paintings, jewelry and painted gourds for sale -- and the winery was offering a tasting experience of their wonderful wines. There was a nice crowd of people to mingle with while enjoying doe wine and... More

We live in Arenas Valley, and have been out to the winery many times. David and Esperanza have a beautiful location, and some excellent wines! The nicest part is that you are always welcomed like you're family. They are such warm, friendly people and it's fun to be around them. We taste all the wines, buy a glass or two... More

We were visiting family, all the way from GA, and were introduced to the winery as they'd brought others by. It was such a fantastic experience. We were welcomed with smiles, hugs, and a choice of 3 wines to sample by Esperanza. We purchased some glasses of our favorites and then given some snacks and an invitation to enjoy it... More

Great family-owned winery on a great piece of land. Very friendly and no 'uppity' people here. The wine was great and I'm not even a wine drinker but I partook of the wine samples and walked out with 3 bottles of wine! The property was beautiful - very lush and green with rolling hills of very healthy-looking grapevines. Sat on... More
