Amazing art work and music

This cute little store in the heart of Dumbo. Fantastic art work. Huge range to choose from. Natalie is an amazing artist. She also sings. Make sure you also say hi to Adam Jones the cat. Careful he likes to attack you. Make sure you take the time to see this little part of NYC.

Fantastic little place to have a chat, buy some art, and buy her music!! She is great! Not to be missed. She sometimes has live music going on as well.

We stumbled out of the ‘Superfine’ one Sunday afternoon after a liquid lunch (check it out for the David Bowie look-a-like barman who's pretty cool) and directly across the street this oasis of peace and culture ... a store called 'Natchie' ... attracted us like a magnet on steroids.

The other reviews here have said it all. Really. Owner and artist Nadia is as delightful as her artwork and her infectious enthusiasm for her work and life in general is a joy. (She paid us fifty bucks to say that and gave us an eye-popping discount off a couple of pieces) Just kidding. She's Australian and we're British so we kidded each other a lot with our idiosyncratic sense of humor that sometimes eludes our American friends.

Any road up ... like the headline says ... buy her 'original' art work while you can. One day soon Nadia and her work will be famous and unaffordable.. Actually, to be perfectly honest, we could only afford to buy a couple of prints at the time we were there as the day before we had spent a second mortgage on ‘pastrami on rye’ sandwiches at Katz. This time I’m not kidding.

Right now we're saving up to make another trip from North Carolina to DUMBO in the hope some of her originals will still be available! ‘If you snooze you lose’ is a great lesson in life!

Oh ... and did I mention the lovely Nadia sings like a bird, has cut three CD albums and writes all her songs? I'm not making this stuff up. Go see her. Now.

Beautiful art and lovely artist.

We have three of Nadia's beautiful pieces of art in our home. One in the living room, one in our sons room and one in our bedroom. Each are unique, whimsical, delicate, and gorgeous. A great souvenir to bring home from New York or to bring into your home if you live in New York!

To top it off Nadia is incredibly sweet, lovely, and funny. The shopping experience itself was great.

Go there and get yourself something special!

You won't be disappointed. Natchie draws her songs and is one serious talent. I have muchos Natchie art and cannot wait to buy more. Grab one of her CDs, you will put her soulful voice on repeat, I assure you.

Unique NY experience

I've followed Natchie Art since she had a small table in Hell's Kitchen flea markets. To see her in this space now is nothing more than real New York story. Her art is intricate and rich in storytelling. Stop by the store, say hi to Nadia - you'll leave feeling like you made a new friend - and her art won't be able to escape your attention. If you're looking for a special reminder of your trip to NY, a piece of Natchie Art is a must. But, if you're looking for a unique and personal NY experience a stop into her store should be top of your list.
You will leave with a story, for sure!

Art, Music and a Little Bit of Magic in this Shop
May 2015 • Solo
There is something very special about Natchie Art that makes you want to take these images home with you. Natchie herself is a wonderful person, and her artwork is full of of whimsy and fun. Her work strikes an emotional chord that takes me by surprise every time. For example, her illustration of ice skaters in Central Park tells a sweet story about winter in the city on one level. On another level, it is incredibly nostalgic - childhood, the holidays, warm winter hats and scarves. Her images of New York City are absolutely wonderful. Her new collection of birds is funny and nice. Natchie also has a collection of jewelry, featuring teensy figures doing nice things, like flying kites, riding bikes or swallowing swords, inside glass lockets.

And then there are her drawings of her songs. She is a talented and accomplished musician, and she was inspired a few years ago to draw her songs. When you buy a print, you get a free download of the accompanying song. You'll want to go ahead and download the entire album.

The shop is adorable and filled with lovely things to decorate your walls and your soul.
