Our tour was amazing. Even though it was rainy outside, none of us even knew we were wet because Frieda held our attention. We were a group of four and were all amazed at how much we learned. The refrain from our group was "I...More

Frieda's Brooklyn Walking Tour was just everything I'd hoped it would be! I had tried on several occasions through the year to find time to book a date, and sure enough...right before Chanukah ( The beautiful Jewish Festival of Lights), I was able to get...More

Frieda led a wonderfully informative and warm tour. I think it's so special that Frieda is doing this, because without her, this opportunity to learn more about the Satmar community in such a nuanced, personal, and immediate way might not exist at all. I loved...More

Frieda is sparkling, engaging, intelligent and articulate. She was at once able to fold us in to the extreme beauty and extreme repression of this community. She invites you into her personal story from the very first moments by sharing the photo of her as...More

Frieda is an incredible, humble, thoughtful, intelligent guide to this very insular world right next door. You'll learn about education, family life, holidays of the Hasidic community and sample food along the way.

We were curious about traditional Jewish culture and Frieda captured our fascination right from the start. Walking amongst the community and seeing the dress, etiquette and daily lifestyle first hand while listening to Frieda explain it...was a culture shock and enthralling. Frieda's honesty and respect...More

The only time we really sat was in the Restaurant at the end of the tour. If washroom is an issue there were not any stops where we had washroom facilities!
