One of the five boroughs of New York City is Brooklyn and I was pleased to visit the area whilst I was staying in Manhattan.
I walked from Dumbo in a straight line to the hall. It was very enjoyable as there were plenty of different things to see along the way.
The view of Manhattan Bridge is quite iconic and then the journey through Cadman Plaza was nice to take me to Columbus Place. I had not expected to see the statue of the Notorious B.I.G. which was pleasing and the other statues dotted around the front of the building.
It is good that this traditional building is still being used for borough business but there are pieces of modern art in front of it to keep it relevant. Good job!

I Love strolling by the Boro Hall. I love older beautiful buildings-Its always clean in the area, so much to see
A soothing place, The promenade brings me their after the buildings. I look at all the new buildings going up, but it doesn't look as beautiful as the the older, historical buildings.

If you are into architecture and are in the area check out the building and the small pocket garden. There are also tables and chairs if you need to rest or just want to hang for awhile.

Just stay away from this very busy area during workdays. The best time to check the hood is on a Saturday for instance. (beautiful architecture on side streets lined up with brownstones)
And the stores/restaurants around there are opened.

The official and historic seat of Borough government. It looks good on an open square with a fountain and a lot of open space. I was impressed with the serious facade.

I was headed to the subway on a Sunday and walked through Columbus Park. Stopped for a minute to admire this classic "city hall" for the Borough of Brooklyn. Nice and noble, good position in the midst of all the government buildings.

This is a classic downtown city hall building, the capital of city business for the Borough of Brooklyn. On the park, right in the middle of downtown, well-served by lots of subway lines.

This large building is very prominent in downtown Brooklyn, very impressive. I think it would be interesting to go inside, but it is very grand on the park and at the subway stop,

This governmental center of Brooklyn is not worth a visit. The architecture is ordinary and not worth a visit.
