A short ride to get away from New York City to a place which feels so different. A walk across Prospect Park, we stopped at the boathouse and found some interesting exhibits and a helpful guide who told us about the bird watching walk. The guide was knowledgeable without being expert and pointed out things we would not have spotted. A delightful hour.

Recently went to a wedding there we had a car service he let us out on the road outside park and we had to walk about 10 minutes to the boathouse. After the wedding they had a bus for people back to the hotel and you had to walk in the dark to the bus up a winding walk with someone holding a flashlight. It took one elderly lady almost 20 minutes getting to the bus.THIS SITUATION NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED THEY GET ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE VENUE THEY SHOULD HAVE BETTER MOBILITY AROUND THE PARK FOR EVENTS.ADA NEEDS TO BE NOTIFIED.I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO AN AFFAIR IN THAT PARK AGAIN.BROOKLYN NEEDS TO GET WITH IT.

Beautiful park that offers gorgeous views, long walks, sunsets, green grass, area to play, run, picnic and jog. Is like the central Park in Brooklyn. It has a zoo and softball/baseball fields.

The landmark of Brooklyn Prospect Park has very historical and beautiful place called the Audubon center . This iconic place has eye catching architecture and is known to most of the locals for the organized events which take place regularly . Yes , there is a small entrance fee . Please check the opening / closing time .accessible by public transport .

In the summer months they do pop-ups in different sections of the park. But there's always something interesting at the Boathouse location. Volunteer students can tell you a lot about the park and its critters. Especially fun for kids but adults should check-in, too. Also a good spot to picnic and stroll around. Best access is via the B 49 bus on Ocean Avenue or the subway to Prospect Park.

Worth a look. They try to give the public some environmental education and have activities for the children. One of the better locations in Prospect Park.

What a perfect spot to locate the Audubon Center. A visit here may be combined with visits to the zoo, the carousel, and Lefferts Homestead to make a splendid afternoon with kids.

if you happen to be strolling through the East side of the park and haven't seen it yet, it's a cool little detour. Didn't get to catch the boat ride, but it's a nice view of the pond and there's some great info about the birds in the park for the uninitiated.
