Cadman Plaza Park is a nice area in Downtown Brooklyn. It is a straight line from Cadman Park to Dumbo and down to the waterfront next to the East River so it's a really pleasant walk.
When I visited in October 2023 part of the park was closed off as it was being redeveloped. I am sure when it is finished it will be an even nicer area to spend some time at.

ITS great how you can seat at a park in the middle of one of the most populated cities in the world and still be in a super quiet place to still a kiss or take a break. Bring your snack and enjoy.

Very large and nice park surrounded by the NY Supreme Court, Post Office, and other government offices.
Nice place to have lunch or we saw a lot of mothers and nannies with small children.

This is a rather large park that links downtown Brooklyn to the Brooklyn Bridge. There are some tall apartments around, and some benches to sit on. Brooklyn Hts. is right next door.

If you are on foot headed to the Brooklyn Bridge, you will pass through this park which is nice enough in a very dense area. Sit before you continue your walk.

The Park stretches along the fronts of the Main Post office of Brooklyn, Supreme State Court House, Boro Hall and to the new Federal Building at Jay and Tillary Streets. There are benches for resting after walking in the hustle and bustle of the area.

The plaza is a big space separating the historic Brooklyn Heights and the downtown Brooklyn. The Borough Hall is at the south end and the Brooklyn Bridge is at the north end of the park. It is a big space for people to enjoy (walking, playing and visiting memorials). Good open space for locals and visitors.

This is a nice park and very active with kids, nannies and adults. It contains a running path and many benches to sit and relax under shade trees and has a large green space which to play.

This local park -- my front yard -- is used by neighbors to walk dogs and jog. Local private schools use it for soccer games and other organized activities for youngsters. This is a peaceful small park that honors the Korean War combatants from Brooklyn. It is a great place to sit a while to rest from walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, visiting the Promenade with spectacular views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge seeing the church where Lincoln prayed, walking around historic and beautiful Brooklyn Heights before or after exploring DUMBO. Park Plaza is a great diner across the street to the west and Brooklyn Bridge diner is also excellent at one of the entrances to the Brooklyn Bridge at Tillary Street.

Was visiting during a film industry program. Easy access for walking. Take public transportation due to federal court building, parking limited, if non-existent.

You can park your car on Cadman Plaza West metered street parking. Or, you can park across the street from Cadman Plaza Park in an underground garage at 200 Cadman Plaza West. Note: the street parking is much less expensive than the garage and quite safe. Try the street first. Unfortunately, the neighborhood has many movies shoots and the studios often take up most of the car spaces on Cadman Plaza West.
