The mark of a good teacher is the ability to inspire your students and encourage further learning. Freedom, our guide for the Bushwick street art walking tour, achieved this in spades. His enthusiasm and knowledge for the subject opened us up to the great variety of wonderful street art over just a few blocks of Bushwick. What we learned during the tour helped us appreciate (and look out for) the street art we saw in other parts of Brooklyn during our stay here. I've continued to look up information about some of the artists whose work we saw.
As has been mentioned in many previous reviews, Freedom was friendly, patient, and passionate. We specifically chose this tour over others because of those reviews and were so pleased he ended up being the one to take us around.
This was definitely the highlight of our visit to Brooklyn!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, even though I had little prior knowledge about the street art. It was all thanks to our excellent guide, Freedom, who seems to know everything that is going on in the local art scene. Bushwick is a very interesting place to visit on its own right, but really you can discover so much more with this knowledgeable and passionate guide. I highly recommend everyone travelling to New York to participate in this tour. For me it was well worth it (even on a very hot day!)

This Bushwick street art tour was fantastic. There are so many murals, wheat pasted art, small hidden installations along with other forms that leaves your head spinning. You will walk around NYC with a much greater appreciation of the artists and their art as the tour gives you a lot of insight to the artists and their signature styles. Our tour guide Chelsea was very informative and gave me a completely differently outlook and understanding of what I was seeing. The best street art in all of NYC is in Bushwick as their is a collective that obtains the permission from factory owners to use their walls. Williamsburg's gentrification has left it with fewer and fewer walls to paint up. I took over 200 eye popping pictures.

If you’re into art / street culture at all, do this tour. Freedom, the guy who took us round is fantastic, very knowledgable, kept us all (including my 10 and 8 year olds) engaged for the whole 2 hours.
We saw some great art and left feeling like we had some real insight into the artists and the Bushwick area.
Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Freedom masterfully led the tour around Bushwick highlighting different types of graffiti and street art, and gave us a great synopsis of the developments of the art form in Bushwick, with historical and aesthetic details. HIGHLY recommend!

We booked the tour online the morning of the tour. Due to the limited time, we received a call and text to make sure we still wanted to join before they charged our credit card. Personal and professional service! We did join the Bushwick tour and it was amazing. Saw only a small amount of what is in the area and we were non-stop for two hours. Our guide (former NYU student and street art enthusiast) was new and did a very good job. Incredibly knowledgeable, but did lack a bit of personal connection. The tour was well worth the money and we stayed in Bushwick to continue the experience with a fabulous lunch at Sea Wolf. I highly recommend doing this tour before the area gentrifies to be the next Williamsburg.

Hi- I "booked" a tour for this Saturday, 2/4/2017 at 11:30. I received an email saying my booking request had been received. It is now Friday and I have not received any confirmation. Does anyone have a contact phone #?
Thanks!
Written February 3, 2017
Hi, if I remember correctly, we got our confirmation just the night before. Hope you've gotten it already. I don't see a phone number for the company.
It's a great tour! Guess you'll have to bundle up, though!
Written February 4, 2017
Where does the tour start and end? It is not indicated in my email confirmation of the booking, Thx
Written June 17, 2016
That's strange, usually they do mention it in the confirmation. Are you sure you haven't overlooked it? When I took the Brooklyn tour last year the start and end place was in front of Joe's Busy Corner (N7th St & Driggs Ave).
Bushwick tour was Troutman St & Wyckoff Ave.

I would love to see Andy W's 1st studio,(ny or brooklyn), basquiat, keith h., barsky, and other graffiti artists work outdoors....any suggestions

We did the Williamsburg street art tour. We chose his one because it fit into our schedule. We enjoyed it very much and learnt quite a bit. Our tour guide was very informative, but he did say that street art in Williamsburg is becoming more difficult to find and the company was thinking of stopping this tour location. He did think that there was more street art in Bushwick, so if possible, I think that would be the better option! I don't know anything about the Andy W studio visit, but it sounds great. Have fun!Where is it located?
