My wife and I stumbled upon Dumbo purely by accident. We were walking around Downtown Brooklyn contemplating the pros and cons of moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Quite by accident, we ended up in Dumbo and we fell in love immediately! The proximity to the water, the laid back vibe, cool shops and restaurants make for a very relaxed, yet... More

I visited DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) as part of a Brooklyn tour with Free Tours by Foot (Onel was the tour guide). This place is a must when visiting New York. It is a very nice area close to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to relax and have a great meal and drinks. Grimaldi, Juliana, and Ignazio's are... More

A great neighborhood - walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and then you land in dumbo (down under Manhattan bridge). Dumbo is the neighborhood between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and it's a hipster neighborhood filled with internet companies, cute restaurants and bakeries and other fun stores. Fun for kids (young and old) to go walk around the bakeries and then... More

Nice area under the Brooklyn Bridge. Great views. Restaurants are popular and can have lines to get in. Very limited parking.

This is a great area for going to breweries and nice restaurants. The pizza giants Grimaldi and Julianas are located here

A relaxed atmosphere to relax with a nice view on Manhattan, however the Williamsbridge was recommended. Would not visit that one again. Would like to stroll through Brooklyn in the future

There is a magic about DUMBO. I've loved there many years ago, before the nice shops and the manicured park, but it has not lost its enchanting aura. It's a gorgeous place to walk around for its beauty, the view is breathtaking, the fascinating history, the magnitude of the Manhattan bridge, the excitement of being in between the bridges. Sumertime... More
