Enjoy an evening at the movies, every Thursday evening during the summer at Brooklyn Bridge Park. A huge screen is located at the south end of the park. So pack a picnic dinner or stop at Grimaldi's a get a pizza, come sit and watch a cinematic hit as the sun descends and illuminates the NY skyline!

I have lived nearby for 2 years now and utilize the park as much as possible, it never gets old. There is so much to do and it is so beautiful, it is a cleanse from the city.

Perfect place to get to know your future love! A walk passed the peers, a picnic with killer lower Manhattan views, or a playful date in the volley, basketball, and playground. There are plenty of seatings and enough "hiding spots" to have a quick first kiss or makeout session with your date. Even a great place to take the kiddies.... More

Also at pier 6 take the ferry on Saturdays and Sundays to Governors Island another FAAAAAAANTASTIC place to visit. Free ferry up... More

This us a great place to pencil into summer activities especially if you have little ones. There is lots to do from water fun to bbq-ing. Isn't that the definition of summer?!

We walked a bit, had ice cream at Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and then played at the "pirate ship." Being summer - we were happy to see the play area had fun water features to cool off in.
