This is an amazing concert venue which serves just about all ages—no exaggeration! Visited multiple times for different events. On this particular occasion the reggae band ‘Taj and Adowa’ played. His sultry satisfying voice set the mood for my evening-desire satisfied.
The service is great, food can be better—shrimp and calamari WAYYY overdone. Red wine👍. Oh! Check out the restrooms-woodwork, admirable. Venue is 9mins walk from the closest train so cab-it if you are late. Go check it out!

This was at the top of our list of places to go in Brooklyn. We went on a Tuesday around 7pm so we could take advantage of the happy hour drinks. A band was playing on the evening so we got discount on the bowling by purchasing gig tickets. The bowling is set by a timer, so you pay by the half hour rather than per a game. This can be either advantageous or disadvantageous depending on your group size. We got in 3 games and had food alongside this.
The food was extremely delicious, and highly recommended. I had a veggie burger that was one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had.
I would recommend going here for the fun atmosphere and food. However, it can be expensive depending on your group size, when you attend (peak times), and factor in you have pay for shoe rental. Be wise!

My 5 year old had a bad slip and fall here. He badly injured his face and needed to go to the emergency room. He nearly broke his cheek. It took 5 days for anyone from Brooklyn Bowl to call us back. Finally we got a call from Steven (D.O.) who quickly stated "were not responsible" and that "Kids just get hurt" . I never expected such terrible guest relations from a place.

Not impressed at all with location and that we had to pay cover charge just to get in. Live band. Music okay. Very crowded and not enough room or places to sit. Many people not there to bowl but stand around and drink. Not enough lanes for those who wanted to bowl. Also bowling was expensive. Only thing awesome was food. Had roasted corn and chicken was fantastic but very pricy. Stick to appetizers. Definitely for much younger crowd who like to be elbow to elbow with loud music.

I went to Brooklyn Bowl to see Quest love deejay and hands down the music was amazing. When we first arrived we had some great comfort food. I ordered the pull boy sandwich, my girlfriends ordered burgers and wings. The service was good, a little slow but not pretentious at all. When we made our way to the dance, the crowd was pretty chill and really into the music which was great.
Where the night fell apart was the bar staff. For some reason at the bar, one bartender refused to serve us (one of the four) Let me paint the picture, it was a group of 4 girls. And at the end of night when we approached him on the issue, he became very defensive and started yelling at us. Never once did he apologize.
In summary, I would go to this place again only for the music. The service was okay. I would definitely stay way from that bartender.

First timer at BB, been looking forward to for ages.
Pros: great set up for bands, good sound, decent food, good selection of drinks, screens throughout to see the band if you’re towards the back
Cons: no seating where the stage is, could easily have bar stools, can’t sit at the bar where the booths are and have a drink, was turned away during the show, bar service in the main area is cold & impersonal, too far from subways in either direction (guess it’s ok if you live in Brooklyn, but not good for coming from the city)
I would possibly go back, but with Irving Plaza, Webster Hall (open again), and the Cutting Room, in the City, won’t be rushing back.

I must be here every week. Went to see Meat Puppets. Great. Jamming, fun, good times. The audience were like zombies. Come on people loosen up. Music is good for the soul.
Anyway, it is standing room only. Sets start on time and if there isn't a DJ or EMO party at 11pm music lasts well past midnite. :).
Beers are Brooklyn about $8 a pop. Highly recommend you come for happy hour which ends at 7? Full bar.
I love the Bowl they have great music, great sound system(though this night the vocals were very low. I was shocked never happens but after 3 songs they corrected it and I continued to sway and raise my hands in glory).
Another time, I brought my 5 years old nephew to a Sunday kid's jam with FISHBONE!!!!!!!!!!!! that was awesome. I was so happy for him and me. If your kids like music I would encourage the Sunday kid's jam.
I'll be back this week for Nashville Pussy - cant wait. Wish there was like a club for all of us that attend shows here. I am here maybe... 52 weeks in a year ...hmmm.. 20 times a year.
They do have a restaurant haven't tried it yet but I heard the fried chicken is good. There is also bowling. Not sure of the prices, heard they were steep. I'm not a bowler so it doesn't matter to me. But for music come on down. Sets start at 8. Depends on how many bands are playing. Headliner would be about 9/10 again depending if there is or isn't a DJ at 11pm.
There is a water jug for the thrifty of which in this expensive Williamsburg area is plentiful. I am a native Brooklynite and I love that I can walk to my music(only perk for gentrification).
Shout out to Lucas at the Brooklyn Bowl - always helpful with set times and other information. This is Anna from the old RBAR.

Visited this place twice in the past 2 months. Loved the vibe!! The live music is great & I had a blast loosing to my friend at bowling! The drinks are pretty good & the food is as well. Won’t give the place 5 stars because of the wait time for bowling as it was 2-3 hours on both occasions ... but hey, you can always hit the crowded bar in the meantime!

Went with Clients to see a band thought it would be a great adventure turns out everyone's pretty much nasty bartenders don't care they don't really smile they overcharged for drinks and barely give you a reasonable poor and you get the bill and it's astronomical. Make sure you ask them how much a drink is, as they will not disclose to you and could really care less....

Deciding whether to drive or take uber from Hicksville. How's the parking for concerts?
Anna
Brooklyn, NY144 contributions
Parking? There's a lot of construction going on around the area that changes the parking zones every few months. I usually park by the HS on Bedford or Berry by N 12th st and walk over. There is a parking lot in the W hotel on N12th. Don't park close to the venue getting out is rough since you are surrounded by party goers from all the hotels and tourists who do NOT know how to cross the streets. Enjoy the show.

Can you book lanes in advance?

Well, I'll take that back. I must have been confused with what happened on past occasions. Take a look at the website. Cannot post the link though due to TA rules.
So, here's the skinny, from the BB site.
