Such a fun and interesting tour, "Made in Brooklyn", with Dom Gervasi. Certainly learned a lot about the area's history, plus visited with some amazing Brooklyn Artists. We hope to do a few of his other tours with him sometime in the future.

Went on the Made in Brooklyn tour today and had a thoroughly great time. Dom knows the area well and knows the local craftspeople and artisans. Combining these together you get to know the area and meet interesting, talented people you'd never have met otherwise. This is a must-do if you're visiting New York City. 5 stars all the way.

This is our second tour with Dom, and we intend to go on more. We visit Brooklyn every year because our daughter and her husband live here. Last year we went on the Red Hook tour and this year the Williamsburg tour. Both were very different because of the weather (VERY cold and super windy in Red Hook and beautiful in Williamsburg) and the different type of neighborhood, but very similar in that Dom was our leader. He is a native Brooklynite who loves his home and does all he can to know Brooklyn as much as possible. It's in his blood. From all our travels we've learned that there is no guide as uniquely qualified and sincere as one who is born and bred in the place and lives there full-time, too. We learned so much about the history of the neighborhoods and the local businesses in them and also experienced some yummy eats, too. All in all, Made in Brooklyn is well worth the money—and a generous tip, too!

We did the tour with Dom who showed us Red Hook in Brooklyn. It was very nice and interesting and so different from the rest of New York. We really appreciated the 3 or 4 hours discovering this amazing part of the town. The explanations of Dom were great and we enjoyed the tour.
We highly recommend this tour. We will come back to discover another part of Brooklyn :-)

My sister & I went on Dom's Red Hook tour and we had a fabulous few hours meeting wonderful Red Hook based artisan's who were happy to chat with us & made us feel like part of the community! Must say the ice cream & winery stop's were a definite highlight of the tour!

Thank you for the review! I'm so glad that you felt at home in just one of Brooklyn's special neighborhoods. Fortunately, there are many more! Looking forward to seeing you next time somewhere new in my native land: DUMBO, Williamsburg or maybe even in Sunset Park where I do the new Made in Industry City Tour. - Dom Gervasi, Owner & Producer

My husband and myself took the Made In Brooklyn, DUMBO tour. We are Brooklynites and, I have to say, we learned so much. Dom, our tour guide, was not only very knowledgeable, but made the tour fun. We are definitely going to take another tour with Dom and Made in Brooklyn Tours and I highly recommend doing so as well. Thank you Dom and Made In Brooklyn Tours!

This was my 4th visit to NYC and my first chance to visit Brooklyn so we really wanted to learn some history about the place, whilst at the same time exploring the area in a fun, relaxed and interesting way. We chose Made in Brooklyn tours based on all the glowing reviews and even though I wasn't sure whether the tour would go ahead if there were only 2 of us booked onto it, Dom was kind enough to run it regardless so we ended up with a private tour of Dumbo purely by chance - once you meet Dom, you'll see why this is such a treat and it coincided with the day before my birthday too.

We did learn a lot about the history of Dumbo, its importance in the past, the way it has regenerated and the changes that have evolved but we learned it all from a born and bred Brooklyn dweller. Dom is able to give the history and information which the benefit of a personal local perspective. In addition to the history, he is so passionate about supporting local Brooklyn businesses, especially those that create and showcase local homegrown talents. Part of his tour led us to artisan chocolate shops, beautiful unique jewellery and fashion stores, meeting a local street artist at his own studio, having just seen the street art murals and recommendations of fabulous local pizzerias that Brooklyn is so famed for. No one at any stage put us under pressure to buy anything, some of the items at these stores were so beautiful that I couldn't help but treat myself! At the chocolate store, we were given some delicious tastings too - the hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie were heavenly!

He also knows some of the best viewpoints in Dumbo for great photographs and views, many of which we may well not have found ourselves. It really doesn't feel like going on a guided tour - it feels more like hanging out with a friend who knows loads about the area and loves to share his passion for it. Dom's passion for Brooklyn is so apparent and it's one of those tours that left us feeling like we want to up and move and live in Brooklyn too!

Next time I return to NYC, I am keen to do either the Made in Brooklyn Williamsburg or Red Hook tour and I believe he may be working on some new tours too in future so we will be eagerly awaiting these too. If you love finding beautiful independent loccal creative businesses, just want an intro into Brooklyn or to take in the area with more context or history, I highly recommend booking this tour to do that.

Dom was a great guide who taught us a lot about the history of DUMBO, along with what makes it great today. We ended up with a private tour, with the first half was full of information about the history of the area, almost like a regular walking tour. The second half we went into local stores and met local artists. Definitely a wonderful experience for both locals and tourists!

Dom's tour of DUMBO was awesome! I went with my team as our summer outing - it was one of the hottest days of the summer, but we barely noticed! Dom kept us interested with fun facts, unexpected stops, and unique experiences the entire afternoon. I have been recommending his tour to everyone I know and can't wait to go another one in a different neighborhood!
