This was my first trip to Dyker Heights to see the lights. Unfortunately we went on a bus trip which could not be canceled due to rain and it poured. But even so it was wonderful seeing the lights. I did not know that most of the lights are done by professionals. One out did another. I am going to... More

Went on Thursday, 12/1/16 which was their first tour of the season. Enjoyed the tour overall, but was hoping for more houses to be lit up. Maybe more will be added as it gets closer to Christmas. The ones that were lit were definitely spectacular. 5:45 pm tour left at 6:15 pm due to a group of 6 arriving late.... More

This neighborhood is know for its Christmas light displays. There are so many beautiful houses all decked out for the holidays. Tour buses are even bringing people from Manhattan to see the beautiful displays.

Amazing lights decorating houses around 10th. Avenue from 86th. to 70th. street. Walking is better, so park a few blocks away and walk the lighted streets. After go to bay ridge section between 3rd. and Narrows Avenue around 84 to 71st. Streets, some beautiful lights also.

We heard about the Christmas lights here and thought 'why not' when offered the chance to go on a night excursion to Brooklyn, to see the lights (every house has a 'competition' with neighbours to put on the most extravagant display of lights, costing thousands, along with the thousands spent on electricity to power them) and to view Manhattan and... As improbable as it may seem, I lived in ny for more than 10 years before I heard about this place. It is an incredible experience - an entire community that decorates their houses to the extreme for Christmas. It's a hike from Manhattan but it's worth it. Really puts one in the holiday spirit!
