Coney Island park has been a entertainment destination for New Yorkers for a very long time. As a matter of fact Brooklyn Cyclone (the ride) is I believe is about 100 years old. There is also an old fashioned side show (only saw the ad, never been) and, of course, Nathan's Famous (the original location) Everything else is your standard... More

Well, what do you expect from an amusement park? There are rides, cotton candy, expensive food, lots of noisy from the music, children and rides. I paid $7 for a corona. The kids had massive fun , I left with a headache and empty pockets. Yes!! Take the kids. They are sure to enjoy it.

I visited here twice in the past two years in October. The weather was slightly chilly so there crowds were minimal. I got a great deal with Groupon the first time, and Living Social the second for 4hr wrist band which included the majority of rides. Definitely the way to go! Four hours was more than adequate to go on... More

Worth the metro trip out on the F line, then walk to the water. The park was closed butbwe enjoyed the view ( very very rugged up) and the milkshake at the bar, people watching and a shortbwalk on the boardwalk and view of the dormant Luna Park.

This is just your basic fairground type places on the edge of the beach, like most seaside towns across the UK (which have now shut or fallen into disrepair.) The difference is, it has been invested in, rebuilt, renovated and so on. Luna Park is great value for money, granted we were blessed with an amazing sunny day in October,... More

The New York City Explorer pass includes 4-hour access to Luna Park at Coney Island, so we decided to check it out. Luna Park is easily accessible by the subway lines D, F, N and Q. Unfortunately, the 4-hour pass does not include the five “extreme thrill” rides such as the Cyclone and Slingshot, and my elder kids were rather... More
