We happened upon this tiny State Park on a walk just a few blocks from our hotel. It was fairly quiet the morning we were there, people were friendly, and the views of the river and city were beautiful.

I very much enjoyed the signs about the history of the area as well.

This lovely park at the edge of water in busy Brooklyn is a great place to catch the early rays of the sun or the beautiful sun setting over the Manhattan Skyline. It offers a great wide view of the skyline and is a treat to be there any time of the day. Cold nights are fabulous to get the sparkling skyscrapers glinting their skinny gold reflections in the water. A cloud filled sky when the sun peers out opens a wide expanse of orange and red flamboyance in the sky. A cloudy day sets the mood for introspection and cool reflection.
A childrens park close by provides relief to parents and an even more serene Pier at the 5th St adjoining this park is a must see in Williamsburg. Watch out for very cold winds in the winter months though. In summer it is a shame if you live close by and not walk the Pier/East River Park/Bushwick Inlet Park route.

The park offers nice green space, plenty of shade trees for patrons of the nearby Smorgasburg, and unbeatable Manhattan skyline views from its tiny beach along the East River. I did see a person or two walking up to their ankles in the water, so just to remind everyone, we’re talking about the East River. It’s ok to stand near it and take in the views, but probably not a great idea to actually let the water touch you!

The view at the East River park is worth millions. Literally can see the whole city and for a second find peace in this crazy city. Great spot to take a date after dinner or to go with friends and watch the tug boats go by.

Picnic, dog friendly and lots of tables and grass to rest on.

Wonderful park that always makes me forget about my troubles.

Was happy this is where Smorgasburg is, so it gave us an opportunity to walk off some of our meal. Play area for the kids, lots of open grassy areas to rest on, bring a picnic, or just stroll through. Would recommend.

Not an overwhealmingly beautiful park but on a nice cloudy (or sunny) day it provides an opportunity for contemplation and a great overview over Manhattan.

The best view of Manhattan is from this side of the river. There's a market on weekends to keep you occupied or it's a short stroll to trendy Bedford Street but you have to take in the view.
