We took our 4 yr old grandson there. Purchased tickets on line to save, they offered a discount. All tickets are same price, not discount for seniors. Anyone over 2 paid the same price. When we arrived, they wanted $25. to park, which included 1 entrance ticket. I showed our tickets and they reduced the parking to $13.00. We went... More

the lovely staff are doing their best to keep the show on the road whilst the major construction work necessitated by Hurricane Sandy is taking place. It's a long way out from our hotel on Times Sq, and not really worth the trip, as the number of people in a confined space means it's really hard to see anything. We... More

Compared to other aquariums like in Atlanta, New Orleans or even Sea World this place sucks. They are still under construction from hurricane Sandy, it is small and a bit costly but the experience is also a bit more up close compared to other aquariums. We loved the sea lion show and can't wait for the rest of the aquarium... More

We were so disappointed that we came here during the renovation....it is not worth it even at a discounted price. Hurricane Sandy decimated this place and the renovations won't be completed until 2017 so the exhibits are temporary and unappealing We were most disappointed in how poorly maintained the different animal pools were.....they were so dirty you could barely see... The aftermath of Sandy can still be felt. Much of the aquarium is still under major renovation, especially the 3-story shark conservation building. So the whole aquarium could be finished within 30 minutes, plus the sea lion show and the 4D movie. But you also get the 50% off on admission, and there is still plenty of fun. Plus, the... More

i was once in aquarium in a small city in polish pomerania. I wouldn't expect that that aquarium is nicer and have more tanks that NY aquarium!!!! In NY there is about 10-15 tanks, they are really nice and have nice species, but nothing exceptional, the most popular ones, there is few really big fishes. The nice thing was sharks... More

I wouldn't make a special trip to the aquarium this summer unless you are already visiting Cooney Island and enjoying the beach and boardwalk. The aquarium is in a rebuilding stage after Hurricane Sandy. Having said that my 3 children enjoyed the displays and the Sea Lion show at the Aquatheatre. They also enjoyed the Spongebob 4D show that is... More

The place is small and difficult to enjoy when crowded. The day we went there were a lot of summer camp kids. The sea lions "show" was meh, at least it made longer our stay there. Go only if you're in the area, is not worth to visit all the way from Manhattan to just go there. We went to... More

With a quiet day ahead of us, thought we'd take the hour trip to see the aquarium since we'd never been there before. The entire thing took about 1/2 an hour to see all the exhibits. In addition, there was a 17 minute show (I think it was the only show for the day) which was entertaining but there are... More

I have been to many Aquariums around the world and this is by far the worst. It is small, crowded and not interesting. Do yourself a favor and drive south to the Philadelphia aquarium which is 100 times better. The only good thing about this place is that it is relatively cheap and kids under 3 do not need to...
