Coney Island is all we expect it to be and more. We loved the beach and its variety of happy folks. People just want to have fun from the waves to the cut mango on a stick. What a joyful place to people watch...

Last Thursday I took my friend from overseas to Coney Island. We had a blast! It was a warm day but there was a nice breeze which made it comfortable to hang out on the sand at the water's edge, under our umbrella. I had not been there in 14 years and it still has the air of excitement I... More

This place is amazing. Everything you want in one place. Beach, sea & theme park. We took the train to coney island it took an hour from queens. Was well worth it. Went to the amazing nathans to eat. Beach i would say get there early so you get a spot- we got there around 11 as it gets busy.... More

If, like us you go to the seaside for fatty foods, ice cream, a paddle and to ride on a roller coaster then Coney Island is the place for you. Its very easy to travel from Manhatten on the D train, takes about an hour and only costs $3.00 each way. The station is a very short way from the... More

I read about the glory days of Coney Island, and I want to be in love with it. But it's grungy and crowded and over priced. There's nothing extraordinary. Next time I'm going to try Brighton Beach or Ocean Parkway.

Sandy beaches, a famous boardwalk the locals are currently trying to save, fairground rides including the iconic Cyclone and the world famous 'Nathan's' with the best hot dogs in the USA, so much so there's a hot dog eating competition on ESPN! What's not to like? For those old enough to remember it's the place in the initial scenes of... More

We went to Coney Island because its a staple. A tourist trap, but it feels kinda like home for us too. The rides were fun, though the high thrill rides can be pricey. Also beware of the game stalls. They will rip you off.

Coney Island maybe would be better if I had kids but I'm unsure I'd let them on the rides. It's a pretty cool perpetual carnival that has a nostalgic feel that I like while sipping a drink at the cantina catching the drifting mist. We also did a pilgrimage to the fsociety building (Mr. Robot) which is a bit hidden.... More

It was too hot and humid to enjoy it. It's a nice place for walking along the beach and having fun with the kids.
