Went there for the cherry blossom and they were really beautiful, and worth the visit. But the garden has so much more to offer! Peach trees, magnolia, daffodils, tulips... it's just perfect.

I visit the garden, probably, every year in spring. Beautiful landscape, amazing views. Various sections of the garden has it's own charm. The rose garden, or Japanese pond with live fish, to name a few...

One of the most beautiful and serene places in Brooklyn. The Japanese Garden is a must see. Sunset Picnics at the cherry esplanade are the best for the entire family. Do not miss the Sakura Matsuri this month.

They have a large grove of blossoming cherry trees, which were not overcrowded on a Friday. The magnolias had blooms but were disappointing. The bonsai gallery has some lovely and very old trees; I wish they had a demonstration of how bonsai trees are grown.

Yes, yes, I know about the New York Botanical Gardens but the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is no step child. All gardens are wonderful and this is particularly precious as it has a very hands on, family vibe. Do include this in your repertoire if visiting Brooklyn, "the other borough".

I have seen cherry blossoms in Japan and tulips in Amsterdam, but this garden had them both today, and they were beautiful. Thankyou to my beautiful daughter and her fiancé for suggesting this wonderful place, which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who has the time when in New York. By subway, it's not that far to go for a... More

The cherry blossoms and tulips were beautiful! There is a small lake, Japanese garden, as well as culinary and other ornamental plants. Lots of people were there on the Sunday afternoon on whitch we visited, and with good reason. Drinks and food are sold in the garden, but are not allowed outside of designated areas. Salads and sandwiches looked good.... More
