Great place for kids
Oct 2019 • Family
This is such a great option for indoor play! While it may not be as big as out of state museums, it is truly a fantastic place for kids and there is plenty to keep them occupied. The staff is incredible and really engaging. Well worth buying a family membership.

Great time
Oct 2019
Took my 2 year old grandson here. We had a great time, after two hours he still wanted to stay. He loved the birds and the fish. He had a great time playing in the water, playing the piano, and sending balls through the vacuum tunnel. Also had fun playing with cash register and 'selling' me food. He played with blocks and loved sticking his face in the 'pins and needles' board. Would highly recommend this for toddler/preschool age.

More of a play space than a musuem
Jul 2019 • Family
We had an unexpected extra day in Fairbanks during our recent trip to Alaska. We were already downtown and so decided to stop by the Fairbansk Children's Museum. I had read that it is geared to kids that are 10 and under, but since I have a 9-year old and 6-year old who always enjoy ANY museum, I thought it was worth the stop. I will say that my kids had a great time at the museum. That being said, it was very expensive for basically 1 room of activities that are really geared to kids that are 5 and under. We probably spent 1.5 hours here and they had already done everything there more than once. My 6-year-old put it best when we left the museum. "That place was really fun, but it wasn't a museum right? It was really just a play space." However, I understand that maybe the museum may have trouble getting the necessary funding to have more interesting exhibits that would allow better interaction for children who are in the 5-10 age range, so I hesitate to write this review, but I think visiting families who have children in the 5-10 range should know before they spend $50 for 1-2 hours of play time.

A great place to spend an afternoon!

We had fun taking our 17-month old here while we were on vacation. He met new friends, found fun toys and ran out some excess energy. They have a climbing wall, microscope, boat races, and craft room.

GREAT kids place
Jun 2018 • Family
Tons of stuff in safe environment for young children to explore, learn through play and to burn off energy. Went with one year old granddaughter who did not stop smiling ,laughing and moving! She loved the water table and many hands on stations. If you are visiting and the weather prevents you from your outside adventures, take the little ones here and watch them light up. One of the sections is carpeted and designated for toddlers and preschoolers with age appropriate 'toys'. There is an area for eating your snacks, a nice quiet nursing area, and a story room. There was even a rack of books to take home if you wanted.

Because the kids need playtime
Sep 2017 • Family
Excellent option for your kid (1-12 years) after tours and museums. Relax, clean, safe, indoor playground. Little expensive because charge not just the kids even their parents but worth it.

Hi Miguel, Thank you so much for writing us such a positive review! A relaxed, clean, and safe playspace is exactly what we aim to be - and it sounds like we delivered! Your right - kids need playtime...whether it be hot and sunny in the summer or cold and blustery in the winter. Thank you for visiting us and I hope we'll see you and the family again soon! Cheers! Jeremia S.

Innovative and Fun
Sep 2017 • Friends
We had the pleasure of visiting Fairbanks Children's Museum in late August. Although some construction was occurring at the entrance, the museum was still open via an alternate entrance on the side of the building facing the river. There is a large space with many interactive toys for the kids including an awesome microscope with a huge display and engineering-based toy sets. One display that I had never seen before was a miniature pool that modeled how the flow of a river can be modified. So creative! The staff was also very friendly and conscientious of the children's safety and education. We were impressed by the staff's dedication to operating the museum and building opportunitites for kids in Fairbanks.

Decent if you live here, better places to go if visiting
Apr 2017 • Family
If you live in Fairbanks this is a decent facility to visit if you have kids aged about infant-6 years old, especially in the winter time when you need to keep the kids busy. If you're just passing through- it's not especially worth it if you are visiting in the summer months when the weather is nice. Compared to other children's museums this is one of the least favorite we've been to, but again, for the area it's decent. The highlights: genuinely kind and sweet staff, a bearded dragon and a few other pets to look at and pet, the water table. Lowlights: very small facility, have toys and creative activities you generally would already have at home (play dough, beads, markers, etc). We would often get sick in the winter months after visiting (a part of having kids though, eh?). Bathrooms always cleanly, snack room if the kids get hungry. They have a small variety of snacks to buy for the kids, or you can bring your own.

Great indoor play area

When you need a place to go when the weather is bad.....which is often, this is a great place for kids to go! Our pre-schoolers kept themselves busy for 2 hours and were quite happy!
