If you want to rent gear in Fairbanks, this is THE COMPANY to use! Each piece of the -40° equipment package we rented was extremely high quality, fit us well, and protected us against temperatures that reached -32°. Everywhere we went, locals complemented our gear, and I know why—it was all in great condition and was appropriate for the weather. We opted for the “Signature Service,” where they bring the gear to the hotel and let you check to be sure that everything fits before they go—well worth the extra cost!! The process of returning the gear couldn’t have been easier—packed it back in the bags and left it at the hotel front desk. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Heather and Alaska Element were an absolutely amazing company to work with from booking through delivery. We were a group of 4, 3 adults and 1 child-we used the hotel concierge service for receiving our gear, and it was worth every penny to have Heather and her team bring multiple size options to our hotel. One member of our party had a lost suitcase, and we were able to add warm socks to our order via email from the airplane before we arrived in Alaska. The gear comes with a large duffel which was helpful in transporting all the gear we're unaccustomed to to our adventures. We had many multi-hour outdoor cold adventures, and no one in our party, including the 5 year old ever complained of being cold. 10/10 would use again.

We loved our trip to Fairbanks and the surrounding areas. As a family from South Texas that left 86 degree weather and arrived in 0 degrees, we know this gear made the difference between a fun trip and a miserable one. Alaska Element was super responsive to my emails and so extremely nice when they delivered our gear. They were so easy to work with and we couldn’t believe how comfortable we were when faced with negative 22 degrees. I can’t recommend this company enough!!!

Alaska Element came recommended and we had a very smooth experience. Heather responded quickly when we had questions regarding hotel pick up and was even able to smoothly replace a piece of gear I had misjudged sizing on. We did a sledding and aurora experience during our stay and the gear when coupled with the laying advice offered through the site was excellent. We were able to linger outside comfortably thanks to the gear and it an easy experience to have fitted gear available whenever we needed during our trip. I would definitely use this service again!

Alaska Elements was the perfect way to explore wilderness in winter without having to buy Arctic gear! Heather was very helpful with sizing and advice. The gear was waiting at our hotel, everything fit and was in excellent condition! Perfect for SoCal folks who do not live in snow!

One of our best decisions for our trip to Alaska was renting outerwear from Alaska Element! The shop is a quick drive from the airport & Heather was so amazing & helpful in getting us fitted with our gear. All of her choices are high end products that did an excellent job of keeping us warm, even throughout the very cold night temperatures watching the aurora♡The reason for our adventure & highlight of our trip - we spent over 12 hours outside between 10pm - 2am with frigid temperatures. There is no possible way we could've done this with our gear from home. We wore our outerwear on lots of adventures=mushing, snowshoeing in Denali, hiking to Castner Glacier/ice cave, Ice Alaska & Running Reindeer Ranch. Renting gear from Alaska Elements made all the exciting things we did in Alaska possible. Being from North Carolina we certainly are not prepared for Alaska weather and after being outside most of the week we were never cold even once. They provide high end top quality gear, wonderful service with proper fitting and great advice on how to properly use the gear to stay warm. Being from Texas, we decided to rent outerwear while visiting Fairbanks since we do not need heavy outerwear back home. We picked up our gear from the North Pole location and worked with Heather, who was very specific in describing how the items should fit and why. This was immensely helpful and she made sure we had the correct sizes so we could stay as warm as possible. I highly recommend this shop, the outerwear and service are excellent.

I was a little nervous about whether the gear I rented would fit. Heather worked with me and put my mind at ease. The gear was perfect. I rented the women's package. Everything fit great, it was clean, in excellent condition, and I was never cold. The drop off and pick up from the hotel was hugely convenient. Unless you are a skier or otherwise spend lots of time in cold climes, this is definitely the way to go.
