Very personal experience. We were a small group, my husband and I, and another couple. Frank came and picked us up at our cabin, and took us to a remote cabin. His wife and 5 dogs made us all feel welcome. There were snacks, coffee tea and cocoa while we waited for the aurora to make its appearance. I am new to photography so Frank provided thorough explanations during the photography class. It was a nice visit, while waiting for ‘the show’. His wife monitored websites to let us know when it was time to venture out. My husband used his android phone camera with a tripod and I rented a Cannon camera and a tripod. Frank was very helpful, helping us set up our cameras. We were able to capture some awesome pictures.

Dear Jeanne, thank you so much for your great review and your nice words! That is very nice of you! We really enjoyed the evening with you two and are looking forward to have you maybe one day out here again - now I know the way to your place without cursing too much in German...... ;) All the very best for you two! Frank, Miri and the pack

While my initial interest was photographing the Aurora Borealis the evening I spend with Frank and Miriam was so much more. The Stelges home is a comfortable environment to learn about the Northern Lights and discuss photography. And, as a bonus, this was my first opportunity to visit an "Off-The-Grid" home. Also, great picture of the Northern Lights.

We had a great time at Aurora Bear! We learned a lot and enjoyed the company. We had some good aurora too, and it stayed out a while so we could get some good practice. Frank had a great way of explaining photography so it made sense and stuck. I'm glad we got the class so I could improve my nighttime photography. Would recommend this!

Fabulous evening! Frank and Miriam are most gracious hosts - and the dogs are tons of fun. Their cabin is very comfortable and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. Frank did a great job helping each photographer individually to make sure that you came out with great photos. I really liked that the cost of the trip varies based on photographer/non-photographer and that the group is kept to a small number. My husband and I left very happy (if a bit tired) with great memories of the evening.
