It was a very small museum. Three levels but each floor was small. It is worth seeing because it had some very interesting history of the area in it that may not be found in other museums.

My 11 yr-old twins love this museum. Lots to see, lots to interest them. We visit every 1 - 2 years, whenever we come to the Fredericksburg area on vacation. Interesting for adults, but is really eye-catching and interesting for the kids.

The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center -- now the Fredericksburg Area Museum -- struggled mightily financially and was forced to vacate its space and close down. It has been resurrected in a nearby location, and the current exhibits reflect interesting and informative material about...More

I took visitors from the mid-west as part of their Fredericksburg visit. It was an hour well spent and they learned much about local history. Thanks for a nice museum.
