A wonderful tour for food-lovers who want to learn more about Fredericksburg history! Tour guides Gil and Regina clearly have a passion for what they do, and it shows in this very enjoyable tour. My husband and I recently moved to the area, and it was great to learn about our new city while enjoying delicious food from some of the best local restaurants. We highly recommend Flavors of Fredericksburg!

This was a really great tour. Our guides were friendly, informative, and a lot of fun. I did the tour with my 2 old college roommates, and we agreed that it was a great way to spend an afternoon. The food was all delicious, and the walking keeps you hungry so you can really enjoy it. In addition to restaurants you visit a few local shops, so I bought some gifts for folks along the way. Would definitely recommend!

I am a Fredericksburg local and was given this tour as birthday gift. It was wonderful! My wife and I had a great time eating at the local establishments featured on the tour. They have relationships with many places and will adjust the tour each time. They feature local restaurants and businesses. The tour is very casually paced. You walk a little, stop on the sidewalk to learn a little bit about Fredericksburg history, and then continue on for a bite to eat in a local restaurant. The tour guides could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I have been on food tours in Montreal and New York. This was my favorite food tour, hands down. The tour takes about 4 hours and you are outside for at least half of the tour, so keep weather in mind when booking.

Found this tour while searching for things to do over a month ago while still home in Michigan. When we arrived in town tour was sold out — but we got lucky and Regina was able to squeeze us both in - so thankful!! This is a MUST DO while in town!! After the historical review presented on the tour I have such a greater appreciation for Fredericksburg connection to our history!! And each one of the food stops were amazing!! Wish we could have taken tour when arriving into town — would have loved to visit many of our food stops throughout the week here. Thank you so much Regina and Gil — we had a great time and you have done a wonderful job putting this tour together!!

The wife and I went on the tour yesterday; my brother & sister-in-law had given us a gift certificate, what a great gift it was!
The tour gave us more insights into the history of the town & tastes of eateries that definitely made it to my list of "must to get back to" places...Eileen's chicken salad being #1
Gil & Regina were welcoming from beginning to end, and have very good knowledge and love of the area.... a pleasure to spend time with....

Gil/Regina shared their passion of history, food and love of Fredericksburg, VA in an awesome walking history/food tour.
As others have stated: they are fun, knowledgeable and flexible.
ALL the food establishments were welcoming and shared their delicious food.
It is a wonderful well balanced day of walking, food, conversation and embracing Fredericksburg history.
My second tour and it gets better every time!!!!!

We enjoyed this walking tour of Fredericksburg, learning much about the local history from early 1700's to today. Our guides, Regina and Gil, were knowledgeable, fun and flexible. They introduced us to many of the local flavors, the history of some of the food establishments and left us feeling full- of history, food and friendship. The tour made us feel as though we were a part of the community and welcome to return anytime. And we do plan on going back to visit Fredericksburg again.

We were so pleased with the tour. It had just enough history in between the food stops to please the history buffs and not bore the foodies too much! Though most us loved both parts of the tour. Being locals we were astounded by how much new information we were privy too. Gil and Regina are both great presenters. The leisurely walk enabled us to enjoy the city while getting a flavor (literally) of the food stops along the route, By the time we finished at the local eating spots, there was no hope for eating dinner!

I am embarrassed at how little I knew of Fredericksburg's history before going on this tour. And we've lived in the Burg for 13 years! Flavors of Fredericksburg is a great way to learn about local history AND sample delicious food from local restaurants and food vendors. Regina and Gil were excellent guides - very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and responsive. Now when friends visit I will have a wealth of information to share about downtown! Going on this tour has motivated me to learn more and explore Fredericksburg's history, and to try out restaurants and shops that I've just driven by over the years (and enjoy samples from some places that we visit regularly). I may buy tickets for my in-laws so they can learn and enjoy too. Go on this walking, talking, and eating tour - you'll love it! Highly recommend, especially if you are a history buff and a foodie.

p.s. To be honest, my teenagers complained afterwards that I had tricked them into learning history when all they were expecting to do was to eat! Well, sorry not sorry, kids.

Thank you for your kind words. We love when “locals” take our tour. Just goes to show, “staycations” and hometown exploring can be fun too! It was a pleasure to meet all of you!
