Review is based on tiny upstairs theatre, not large main one. CCT has 4 theatres. Two of the upstairs ones are *minuscule*. We saw The Lobster last night in a TINY room, perhaps 20 seats max. Fortunately we got there early and had good seats. How can you have bad seats in a small theatre? Well, if you were one... More

Our Coolidge Corner Theater teaches, entertains, motivates and in addition to that it is a source of wonder how the staff can pull together such a variety of films, collaborative courses book signings, lectures and be a draw for the old and young in our community. We are sooooo lucky to have the Coolidge Corner Theater.

There are not many small movie theaters any more like Coolidge Corner Theater. Thank goodness this theater was saved from the wrecking ball several years ago from donations from those who truly wanted to see this wonderful art deco theater preserved. Over the years this movie theater has morphed in to showing first run films. On a snowy day instead... More

Great movies selection in a beautifully old theater... Went there when there was only another couple in the room and the experience was magical!

The Coolidge is awesome. The popcorn is good and you have the option of butter or no butter; you can add salt yourself. There's a bar, so grab a beer to take to your seat before the show starts. Most weekends they do a midnite showing of some cool or classic cult film, and some of them are a totally... More

Cute theater is very well preserve and its actually bigger than it seems. In the inside it looks vintage and they sell alcohol. I was there for the film fest and its in a great location. There are many bars and restaurants in the area.

This really is a Jewell of a movie house. A former 30s Art Deco theater (complete with organ), remodeled beginning in the late 70s to a multi-screen community facility specializing in classic revivals and innovative cinema. It survived near financial collapse in the late 80s (VCR and pay TV threatened) by community led action which succeeded in making the venue... More

I love to support local businesses. I've been here several times. The tickets and snacks are reasonably priced. I love how it has an old vintage feel. The last visit was a disappointment. We purchased tickets and arrived 5 minutes before the movie started. The movie was showing in the tiniest room I've ever seen. If you're claustrophobic forget it.... More

Walking into this theater makes you feel like you have walked back into time, in a good way. The theater itself is gorgeous and the popcorn is not be missed but more importantly they show some of the best indie films! Lots of parking behind the lot as well.

I love visiting this place- it has a very cool art deco design and an interesting mix of art films and commercial releases. Very fun to visit and really gives you that nostalgic feel of an old fashioned movie theater. Tends to sell out early so would get tickets in advance online, and can be a little pricey though about... More
