After touring the town of Brookline we wanted to find something like little novelties from the town. The lady at the public library recommended this store because it's like a gift shop too and that's the only place that had anything that said BROOKLINE on it.

A fabulous book store along with some great crafts. A wide range of book selections for each genre. They also regularly have writers and other culturally relevant people speaking there.

I work at the Homewood Suites by Hilton/Boston-Brookline and love this place not only for books but for gifts of all kinds especially ones with a local flavor - ones you don't find everywhere - e.g. a "Entering Brookline" coaster is a favorite one to include in our VIP goody baskets. I could stay in this place and browse for... More

One of my favorite things about this Boston indie bookstore staple is how it's organized: the tables help you discover new books, and there are lots of heavily discounted books available in a way that's easy to sort. The gifts section is also creative, and the bargain basement is one of the best in the area. The fact that the... More

Brookline Booksmith is a great, independent bookstore in the neighborhood. The staff on the floor are super helpful and knowledgeable if you approach them for help with book recommendations. Highly recommended!

This local and independent bookshop has a huge selection of new books and gifts, and the basement has a variety of used books. Friendly and knowledgable staff.

One of the last independent book stores left standing....in the heart of Brookline in Coolidge Corner. They sell new, (great sales!) used + have A-List book-signings and more. Unique gifts and cards as well. A must see if in the area!!

I live about a mile from the Brookline Booksmith so go there often, especially when we host guests from out of town, it's really that good. For an independent, this is a large store, nicely laid out with classically old-world creaky wooden floors, good displays, and places to sit. You'll want to leave yourself plenty of time to get lost... More

Wow....what a great bookstore. I could have wandered around there all day. It is what bookstores Should be and many of the few remaining are but sadly they are a dying breed. I love books and all the stuff associated with them. They also have numerous readers who give reviews and list favorites. If you are in Brookline or Boston... More
