Nature at its best
Jun 2019
Great place to walk and enjoy nature. Activities around as people fish, swimming area, playgrounds, large grass areas, public restrooms, etc.
Saw a family of deer. Parts of the park can be noisy due to freeway traffic. But didn’t detour us from enjoying the walking trail. Good place to veg. Out.

They started charging admission. No dog walking.

Used to go here all the time. Now they charge to park - at a park IN HAZEL DELL.. They should pay us to go there!! You can park near the softball fields and walk a half mile. But there are other parks to visit. County is getting even more greedy. Hmmm - what are my County property taxes doing?? not getting me into County properties!!!

Please don't tell anyone!
Nov 2018 • Friends
This truly is a place that you MUST NOT tell anyone about!! Just keep seeing the Eagles, Hawks, Nutria, Deer, Coyotes,...Swan's to yourself as it has become too popular! Not to mention the Mountain views from the western part of the trail.

Nice Nature Trail
Oct 2018 • Friends
It is always fun to see what is on the trail. Herons, woodpeckers, turtles and more. It is a nice place to enjoy sights and sounds of Nature by foot or on bicycle.

A good place to stroll and get close to the nature!

On the way to Kelso, we stopped by the park. After our 5 hour sitting in the plane, it was good to strolling along paved trail and seeing the nature. We even spotted a hawk and heron. And I enjoyed some raspberry, apples picked from the trees. Wish we had more time to go further.

Small, bnice and quiet park. Very enjoyable

We sat and watched the water flowing in Salmon Creek during our visit. We were in a lazy mood that day and just wanted to relax. There is a hiking trail, but we didn't walk it. We enjoyed the scenery, and being pretty much alone in this park. Small park, we believe it has a pool in the summer where you can swim.

Very Nice Walk, paved trail
Feb 2018 • Couples
If you park in the lot by the fishing ponds and play area, there is a $3.00 fee, but if you park in the lot by the ball fields, parking is free and you pick up the trail here. For about a quarter of a mile you have the ball fields on your left and you walk along Salmon Creek on your right with lots of trees. Once past the ball fields you have trees on both sides. The trail isn’t right along the edge of the creek except in a couple of places, but you can see and hear it through the trees. There are also a couple of ponds with a variety of waterfowl. We saw numerous birds such as Flickers, hawks, kestrels, scrub jays and song sparrows. A fellow walker had seen an immature bald eagle. The entire trail is a bit over 3 Miles. It’s an easy walk. There were moms with babies in strollers and lots of people walking their dogs. You are encouraged to clean up after your dog.

Every time I've been here it was rather cold. Not much to see but a few ducks. Cool little park if you like that sort of thing
