Nice place for a Birthday Party or Family gathering

When to a family party there. It was under a covered area with tables and a large grill. Large grassy area right down to the lake. Lake was a nice place to swim and wade. The... read more

We took the short drive to Vancouver Lake looking to just take a walk around the lake. We when discovered that there was an entrance fee, however, it did not appear to be a worthwhile expense to just take a walk. It may have been a nice place to visit and for a walk, but the admission charge discouraged us... More

Vancouver Lake is beautiful when viewed from afar; an idyllic lake with, bizarrely, the the loading cranes of Port Vancouver in the background. It's also the premier rowing area in this part of the country, with crew teams practicing regularly. The park here has a large, decent, picnic area and a sandy beach, where some people swim. But close up,... More

Vancouver Lake Park.... located just outside of Vancouver/Fruit valley area, it is an otherwise nice place, but is in need of some major clean up and basic amenities for park goers... With a little love this place could be a wonderful area... Perhaps it was just because of the early time we visited (scouting areas for the summer) it seemed... More

When to a family party there. It was under a covered area with tables and a large grill. Large grassy area right down to the lake. Lake was a nice place to swim and wade. The water was warm and clear. I have been told that sometimes the waterfront is closed in late summer due to Algae Blooms. I will... More

The water is disgusting you couldn't see into the water at all and it smelled horrible. There was poison algea in the water that gave some rashes on the kids skin. The grass was infested with wasps and yellow jackets as well as thick swarms of mosquitos. We only stayed for 30 minutes before we decided on leaving. I don't recommend... More

The lake was very quiet, few people on a Tuesday . I saw kayakers and swimmers with picnic tables and bathrooms , wonderful place for a picnic , no dogs allowed though, nice views of Mount Hellena, Hood and Adams on clear day

We were out riding and stopped by the beach for a quick look see. It was a Fri late morning and there weren't many people around, mums with young kids and some canoeing teams practising. I can imagine this place being crowded on a sunny weekend. It's a nice location to chill out for an afternoon with a good novel.

I have lived in Vancouver for 5 years when I discovered Vancouver Lake park. I was shocked how beautiful it was. Great place to have picnics, ride bikes, play frisbee, take a walk or just relax and enjoy the view. I never heard that much about it and was amazed how nice of a facility it is.

I have taken my kayak there a couple times and enjoyed the trip. I always head to the island on the north end. If you want a day trip and sit at the beach, there is a paid area during the summer run by Vancouver Park service. You can bbq and hang out with friends/family. They have bathrooms at this... More

This park provides, on a clear day, the perfect view of 5 mountains: Mt Hood, Mt Adams, Mt Jefferson, Mt Rainier, and Mt St Helens, and is the only place like it. Quiet and serene on most days, all year round. Rowing competitions on some weekends are fascinating to watch, but don't expect to park close. Well maintained, with a... More
