One of the cool things about this fort is that its located in North Dakota, whilst its parking lot some feet away, is in Montana. You get out the car in the Montana parking lot and walk towards the fort and you come across a...More

Very cool reconstructed fort on the Yellowstone River. The fort is in extremely good shape and tells a story of the unsettled west. There were several park rangers available to answer questions about the fort and the surrounding areas. I had no idea it existed...More

This is a nice couple hour stop along the highway west. It was very informative on a piece of the history of the American West. A good place to stretch your legs and learn a few things.
