Viewed the film and walked the property! Such an interesting history of the fort, and the role it played. You can actually walk in the same trail ruts the pioneers took along the Santa Fe Trail. The rangers are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Too bad a lot of it has been torn down. We enjoyed the movie. Enjoyed the walk about. It is definitely a must see. Took lots of pictures. Nice gift shop. Friendly helpful staff.

This monument has many ruins and a great deal of history. They have a good video on the history of the fort. The Santa Fe Trail goes around and through the site. Also Route 66 is near this area. Nice site to visit.
