Great place to start your visit to Fort Scott! Maps, brochures, helpful people. This is also the starting point for Dolly The Trolley, a 1 hour trolley tour of Fort Scott which is very informative about many different aspects of Fort Scott history.
Visitor's center is free. Trolley has a small charge.

First time to the city and this definitely was the place to start. They provided us with maps and booklets and directions.

Very helpful in planning our day in Fort Scott. If we hadn’t stopped here, we’d have missed so much (and it was nice and cool on a hot summer day!). Thank you!

We took the trolley tour and enjoyed seeing the old houses and learning the history of Fort Scott. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the town and it's history.

A nice clean facility with local information. The lady there was friendly and helpful in answering our questions and pointing us in the right direction. If you aren't sure where to visit, stop here!

They have a very nice visitor center that we enjoyed while waiting for the trolley. After a fun morning at the Farmers Market we decided to finish the morning off with the Trolley Tour. The Driver was very good describing the local sites. He was extremely knowledgeable and could answer questions.
It was definitely worth doing.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff with plenty of local information for out-of-towners, but also for locals who want to keep up with local events and activities. Convenient location to downtown Fort Scott and Fort Scott National Historic Site.

Stop here before touring Fort Scott, they have free cookies, coffee plus restrooms. You can find out where you want to go within the city and they give you a map of all the attractions. For a smaller city, they have plenty to see and do. The staff here is welcoming and very friendly.
