Another monument on the riverfront, this one honors those who were lost in World War II. The sculpture is a globe split in half, and the names of the soldiers from Savannah are listed inside. Visitors can walk through and around the monument.

Be sure to check this out when strolling along River Street / Riverfront Plaza. Located near the Hyatt and the Frican - American monument. Impressive artistic structure of an earth cracked in two. Nice memorial to local veterans who died in the war.

This is a great tribute to the military heroes that served this country representing the great state of Georgia. It is along the Riverfront walk with many small shops and restaurants.

We went in March 2019, but there was construction, and we couldn't find a place to park near there to view it. It looks like it would be nice if you could see it.

You can't miss this memorial for the local WWII veterans. The globe is split in half and as you walk through the names of the local soldiers are listed. This is a very nice tribute to our veterans.
