We visited Savannah for the St Patrick’s Day parade and reserved two seats at Bleacher 23, on East Bay Street. We camped at a campground outside of the historic district and paid $30 each to take the 8:30 am shuttle into town, that dropped us off at the Visitor Center up on Louisville Avenue and MLK Boulevard (we could have easily drove ourselves though, and parked at the Visitors Center for $25, providing we arrive before 9 am to get a spot). The visitors center is quite far from the bleachers, but doable. Our Bleacher Attendant was Marcus, who managed 3 bleachers simultaneously. Marcus nailed his job….he kept track of newcomers to the bleachers, kept non ticketed people away (very diplomatically too), and his fun personality engaged all of us to where we were one big happy family of strangers. Marcus also told us where to grab a quick bite to eat and where to get drinks. He also explained the drinking rules and ID requirements. I would reserve a bleacher seat again, and we liked being on Bay Street. But our attendant Marcus made the experience much more fun!
