When guiding a tour, historic accuracy is important. So imagine my surprise when the Captain, in describing the civil war history of Savannah, was talking about the Union army in Savannah, but instead of saying General William T. Sherman, he repeatedly said General Robert E. Lee. Not Sherman's march to the sea, but Lee's. Not Sherman decided not to burn... More

We took the afternoon cruise, and it was a warm day! All in all, the cruise was nice, the captain was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the history of shipping in Savannah and how the river is maintained to this day, to accommodate the large cargo ships that come in and out! Because the day was warm,... More

A bit overpriced in my opinion for what we received (and what we didn't). Almost $65 per person for the dinner cruise. Not sure if there was an "upcharge" for the Christmas Eve cruise. The whole thing ran as if it was their 1st time. The lines for dinner were terrible backed up. I don't think the tables were released... More

I live in the Savannah area and of all the southern hospitality you hear about Savannah Riverboat delivers! I am a chef so the only deduction was the lunch. It was good just not great. The fried Chicken was very tasty just not crispy because being in a warmer adds steam. The announcer on the tour was OUTSTANDING! lots of... More

I made my first visit to Savannah after living in Atlanta for 10 years. The weather cooperated wonderfully as the day of my Harbor Cruise was Sunny and 75 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky. Middle of December, so I was really looking forward to this. The Georgia Queen is a brand new boat that I overheard was only... More

We took an afternoon River sightseeing cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cruise lasted 1.5 hours. The Captain gave a very detailed commentary and the ship was very clean and well maintained. There was ample room on the upper open air deck for seating. There is nothing like seeing a city that is so dependent on the River from that... More

We went for a evening dinner cruise on the new Georgia Queen. Boat was immaculate! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meal was buffet style and the food was good, the shrimp and grits were great! A 3 piece band played easy listening covers all night and were quite enjoyable. Interesting mix of people aboard, from folks on dates to... More

There was 10 of us celebrating my nephews graduation. This was perfect! The buffet had several salad choices and there was prime rib, chicken and shrimp and grits! I got to enjoy a lot of everything I love. The band was great and played music that wanted to make you get up and dance. I loved seeing the river scenery. I'll... More
