We decided to check and see about tickets the same day.... and were fortunate enough to be able to get 2 great seats. This was the first of their 10 year celebration. Music was great we would go back if we were in the area again.

If you like classical music, then you should go see a performance. Ticket prices aren't that bad, but inexpensive tickets sell out fast. They have a free concert every October at Forsyth Park (Picnic in the Park), and their Christmas shows are great to get you in the spirit. They also have a "family friendly" Christmas concert which is shorter (better for children!), and is very inexpensive.

The Savannah Philharmonic is a wonderfully talented orchestra with a great director, Peter Shannon, and the programs are very well put together. Savannah is very fortunate to have this resource in our community.

Spending the evening with the Savannah Philharmonic orchestra and chorus is definitely worth your time. Peter Shannon, the artistic director and conductor stirs the musicians and voices into depths of the beautiful music that is not only emotionally engaging, but is also very entertaining. Wonderful couples night or great way to introduce your children to Classical music.

We have been going to the Symphony for years. Savannah is very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of musicians. The Holiday Pops concert was fantastic. My wife and I went to the Friday evening performance after dinner. A great evening. Then Saturday afternoon, we took our granddaughter and our grandneice to the Family Holiday Pops concert. The music was fantastic and the Maestro made it entertaining for all ages. It is a great organization.
