About
Have you ever watched the Paranormal Ghost Hunting shows on television and wondered what it would be like to actually investigate a haunted property? The Gribble House Paranormal Experience gives you all the equipment and training plus the opportunity to explore a documented haunted warehouse that sits on the site of a gruesome triple murder that occurred in 1909. Recently investigated by Ghost Adventures on The Travel Channel and described as one of the most haunted buildings in Savannah. Many Paranormal Investigators from other cities have explored with us and their findings and experiences have lead them to describe this as "the real deal" and "a must do in Savannah."Investigations are nightly and reservations are required. Due to the nature of some of the content we ask that guests be free of alcohol and over the age of 16. This is a tour for people who are genuinely interested in the Paranormal and as such we discourage bad behavior and skeptics from ruining the investigations.

Went last night with my husband (a big skeptic). We got put with another couple and placed in the slave quarters first. We were getting some mumbled responses at first, but when I asked "What color shirt do you have on?" The answer "blue" was loud and clear. At one point in the slave quarters, we all were clearly told to leave as well, but we didn't. Then my husband asked, "What's my name?" Without hesitation, the answer "Emerson"came back... which is his middle name, but the one he goes by. My husband and I both looked at each other in disbelief and verified with each other what we thought we heard (we both heard it, as did the other couple who didn't know his name).
After we left there, we went to another area where I don't remember much happening, except one time we asked, "Are there any soldiers here?" And loudly were told, "NO."
After that we moved on to another area, which was by far the most active for us. There was a sensor set up that the spirits could touch to make a light go off, and I asked if they wcould go touch it. A male voice said, "Simple." Nothing happened with the light, so after a few minutes, I asked again, "Will you go touch the light?" And the response came by the same make voice, "Touched it." (Light never changed though.)
As we were sitting there, we were getting lots of names (I can't remember them now though), I had my hand kind of on my hip so that my arm was positioned pretty far out from my body. All of a sudden, a felt a hand start putting pressure around my upper arm. I say hand because I could feel individual fingers grabbing around my arm. I didn't get the feeling it was trying to hurt me, but there was a LOT of pressure, and where the "hand" was was significantly hotter than the rest of my arm and body. I alerted the others in my group, and asked the ghost box if someone was touching my arm, and a male response came though, "I am." I tried to find out his name, but he never said. Then another louder voice told us to leave. This whole time, I still had this intense pressure and heat on my arm like someone was grabbing it. It went on for about three or four minutes until it started feeling numb in that area, and I told them that I was moving my arm because it felt uncomfortable. After I moved my arm, the feeling went away.
Then we went to Paul's area where the store used to be, and we were back to getting a bunch of muddled responses. But at one point I asked if there were any children there and was told yes. I asked who and a little girl's voice said either "Nina" or "Mina." I kept trying to talk to her because it was so obviously a child's voice and not interference from another source. But when she said her name, she was very soft spoken, and I couldn't get her to say anything else. There was one loud, clear male voice that kept coming through, but he wouldn't verify whether he was Paul or not. We did ask him "What year is it?" And he answered "40" as clearly as if he had been standing there beside us.
Then it kept getting mumbled for the next few minutes, and then I asked if anyone was still there and a male voice loudly said "Yes. " I asked "Who?" and the little girl's voice came back and said "Nina"again (this was at least five minutes after she first said Nina.) I quickly asked, "Nina, how old are you?" And she said loudly "Nine."
After that the time was up unfortunately. My husband still isn't totally sold on the idea (even though he agrees somebody definitely said his name). I'm sure everything can be explained away if you just don't want to believe, but if you do, there's more than enough here to satisfy you.
My only complaints are that I wish we had more time! There was a heck of a lot of chit chat to start by the guides that I feel like most of us could have done without. And although I think the price has been reduced at some point (prior reviews said it was $50, but it's $35 now), it's still awfully high. $75 for two people is pretty steep, and it would keep me from repeating this experience, even though I very much want to. Considering there is basically no overhead, the $35 price tag just seems too much. I think if they lowered the price to $25, it would be palatable to many more people, and they could have people in at 8 and 11, instead of just one experience a night.
Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would love to repeat it one day.

A friend and I took this tour the other night with Kelly as our guide. She was fantastic and very informative. We listened to the ghost box most of the night and got to talk to quite a few different spirits. Definitely the best paranormal ghost hunting tour!!

I've done ghost tours before, which are basically have been nice history lessons with a little spooky thrown in to justify the name of the tour. This was a whole 'nother experience all together.
I'll give this review from the perspective of my 17-year-old daughter, the skeptic. In the past, she's confessed to seeing something in our home (that my husband and I also have seen) but she always explains it away as a trick of the light. She went into this experience with the thoughts of a skeptic...something fun better happen or we've just wasted a bunch of money that could have been spent on a nice walk and history lesson around town at night.
I realized her skeptical opinion was changing when we returned to the main room after taking the initial tour of the warehouse's hotspots. She immediately told me that she felt really ill and thought she was going to faint in the "slave quarters" room. I've heard of people having feelings like that, but I never expected it to happen to someone that I know and certainly not my skeptical daughter. It wasn't so much that she suddenly felt ill (though she had been perfectly healthy all day and she was better as soon as we left that room). It was the expression on her face when she told me about the feelings. It was sort of like, "What the hell just happened to me?"
Since she was feeling better, we proceeded with the evening. We were by ourselves with the equipment. Lots of words popped through on the spirit box, including some seemingly intelligent answers to questions (like when I was asking how many children a presence had and after I settled on four, the spirit box voice clearly said "five.") There were lots of times when a light would light up to indicate a presence, and lots of blinking lights for yes or no questions. But the real "moment" was yet to come.
As were were in the center of the room asking questions, a voice in the spirit box very clearly said my daughter's name. She doesn't have a common name, so it wasn't just a word that was being said on the radio that managed to come through the static. It was her name and there was no doubt about it. We looked at each other in shock, and then she shrieked and ran from the room! By the way, they tell you not to run before the experience starts, but there was no stopping her at that moment.
I continued the investigation by myself, and there were lots of other things that happened, but that was the moment when my daughter completely stopped being a skeptic. And I have the whole thing recorded on my phone! As she explained to me later, she's okay with being around spirits, but they don't have to make it personal by saying her name. LOL
This was one of the best experiences I've had on a vacation. Whether you believe in it or not, it's fun, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Hi Senoraflowers,
Thank you so much for your review!
What a great experience for you and your daughter to share together. For her to come in as a skeptic and to have such a personal interaction that completely changed her perspective is absolutely wonderful.
We would love to hear a copy of your daughter's name being called. If you ever get the chance, please send it to our email (info@gribblehouse.com).
I am so glad we were about to give you one of the best experiences you've had on a vacation, and we would love to have you visit us again if you're ever in Savannah!

Pay $35 to stand in an empty warehouse for about 1hr where nothing happens.
You are given a radio and other equipment which are the only things that do something, unsurprisingly. The radio makes some noises and spits out words, some as answers to random questions you ask. At one point the answers were related to the names etc of other group so probably getting the 2 groups mixed up. Aside from that, there is no moving of objects, ghosts or similar things appearing or any other sounds outside of the ones made by the equipment. Without the equipment there is nothing to it but an empty warehouse.
I don't think people should be paying for this experience.
PS. The only thing that surprised me was the overly defensive comments from the owner in TripAdvisor when getting a negative review. Looking forward to receiving mine.

Thanks for your comments. I feel disappointed in your experience. I don't understand why people with little interest in the paranormal take this tour. There are plenty of other tours you could take that are more generalized and much easier to digest. Sadly, you chose something that obviously is not really of interest to you and for that I am sorry. If you read through the comments and reviews you will see that people that are interested in this type of tour have a great time. People that are on the fence or can't see the value of the tour seem to be the folks least happy. Thanks for reading my comments though. It's great that the next review is titled "well worth it". It totally shows what I am talking about.

This it literally 2 hours in a darkened warehouse, with a FM/AM scanner that is apparently ghosts talking, and a few other electric devices...
We were told by the tour guide, that people had said in previous tours, that in back room they could smell the faint aroma of roses... When we walked into that room, it was blatantly obvious the tour guide sprayed a very strong air freshener..
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!

Was hoping for something truly different and wonderful as my wife loves this stuff and this building was aired on TV as a true paranormal experience. We both went away totally frustrated and disappointed with this rip off place. They set the mood well in a dark building and tell you the stories of the ghosts there and then set you free with these cheap instruments that flash randomly supposedly to tell you that a spirit is present. In addition another device captures their voice and they will answer your questions. Wonder where the person is hidden who listens and then has his voice garbled enough to appear as the spirit is responding to you. This is an absolute joke. We had another person who we just met and he said he was a believer as well who walked out disgusted half way through this painful and expensive ordeal. Save your money and stay away.

Hi Rob975,
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the experience, but it obviously wasn’t for you.
We do our best to set our guests up to have a great experience by giving them the history of the building and an explanation of the equipment, as well as try to provide them guidance while taking the tour, but sadly it seems you didn’t listen to the guides on how to properly use the equipment or come in with an open mind, as made apparent by you wondering where the person was hiding to answer your questions.
I’d also like to point out that two people who were on your investigation that night were actually repeat investigators from the night before, so to say it is an “absolute joke” is quite insulting to them and the other reviewers on here who have had a completely enjoyable time.
I hope if you ever do anything like this again, you come in with a more open mind and decide to take it a little more seriously.

On a romantic weekend in our favorite city, and couldn't wait to have a paranormal experience at the Gribble House. My husband, ever the skeptic, was happy to be part of this experience just to please me. I'm always in the mood for stories of ghosts, history of haunted places, and anything related to the paranormal. With high expectations, we arrived at the warehouse location of Savannah' Trolley Tours, a little confusing since we couldn't see the Gribble House sign. We later saw a sign that is placed on the building, and then taken off when the Gribble House tours are over.
A very nice paranormal investigator greets you, and two other investigators in training comprised the team. I felt that the welcome and "orientation" before going into the "haunted" space was very haphazard and not well prepared. But I still had high hopes of experiencing something unique. The lead investigator begins to explain the function of the various paranormal equipment. It was my first time using paranormal equipment, EVP, spirit box, thermal meter etc., and that was cool. Then it's time to go into the warehouse to watch an episode of Ghost Adventures. Now I have always been a fan of Zach from this show, but now I begin to see that the tour is filled with a lot of "fluff" to pass time before getting into the actual investigation.
There are about 25 people taking this tour, and we pair up with a lovely couple. There are four groups in total and we proceed to begin the investigation, each group in a different "hotspot" for about 10-15 minutes before rotating to the next hotspot. Throughout the evening we asked the typical questions, "Is anyone here", "Can you tell me your name," "Can you give us a sign," etc. The spirit box, which is simply a device that goes through radio frequencies and supposedly the spirits use it to manipulate the energy and speak through it, is spewing out random radio station activity and sounds. Many names came up, both men and women, including a "Hi" in a little girls voice. Every name said through the spirit box, according to the lead investigator, was someone they had heard of before. You could have made up a name and they would have said "oh yeah, that spirit is very active!"
Honestly, I don't write many reviews, but this was a huge disappointment. It felt staged. We had fun anyway and met some nice people. Isn't that what most vacation experiences are all about?
Save your money and do a walking tour instead.

From an owner's perspective, this type of review is very annoying. I even contacted Trip Advisor about it's suspicious nature. Sometimes other competitors feel the need to write damaging reviews about other tours and this review reeks of the usual garbage they write. Vague and nasty. I can only hope our potential guests can see through this deceit and look at our other reviews.

Poor equipment failure, no flash light. Attendant Kelly talked initially talked and introduced herself while she was still coordinating the equipment and her introduction. She would start and stop talking, meanwhile heavily watching the clock, to be sure we didn't start and end exactly on time. She proceeded to take us out into the warehouse where she set up the couples and directed us in each of the four areas within the warehouse. She then disappeared. Strange to say the least! During our ghost adventure we experienced very noisy outside distractions, assigned faulty equipment and nothing to be impressed by whatsoever. Kelly (attendant) would walk away and leave the entire group at times. Almost seemed sketchy as she would leave for long periods at a time.
Not worth the hype...I promise you! Been to many in Gettysburg, New Mexico, Galveston, San Diego and can assure you- this was the worst most shadiest of all prior experiences.
Be ware, you've been warned!

Not sure how to respond to you on this. I feel like you have a personal problem with Kelley and I am not sure why. Kelley has been with me for a long time and as you can see by my reviews, your comments and review are completely out of left field. We pride ourselves on our equipment and we have many paranormal investigators join us from around the US and the world and they enjoy using our equipment and the experience.
Saying things like "beware" and "you've been warned" are ridiculous and just plain rude. If you didn't enjoy the experience compared to all your other investigations (which are somehow not reviewed on TripAdvisor) that's ok. We can deal with that. Just a suggestion though, before you write a negative review look at the business and see if this is a trend before you comment. It usually helps you decide if it was the business itself or just you with the problem. Just saying.

When you get into the room they give you a short presentation of the Gribble house and ask questions about believers and non believers. They also plan an audio take of supposed ghost sounds. About 18 people total and they split us up into 3 groups. they gave us some cheesy that would help us find or hear the ghosts. If was a digital thermometer, a device to detect electric and some other device the made noise and you would hear the ghosts talk to you from. equipment that You go into a warehouse where the Gribble house once stood. It was dark as expected but very hot. They didn't try to keep the space ventilated. They gave another presentation. Then we went into each of 3 areas. In our group 2 girls and a guy asked most of the questions. The device made some sounds back but only these three people seems to understand them. It was similar in each area. On our way back to the hotel there were 8 of us. None were in our group and we did not know any of them. Most were believers in ghosts before we went in but only one was after we left. I am shocked that is attraction has so many excellent reviews.

Is the Gribble House still an ongoing business as a paranormal destination or is it now defunct? I am not seeing any recent reviews. I believe my picture taken 3 years ago is one of the best from the Gribble House. It shows the images of 2 farmers standing side by side. Anyway, thank you for the information.

what day would be better go to where it is less crowded....Friday or Sunday??/
Written May 5, 2015
Hi Adam,
Sundays are generally less busy than Fridays, but different factors such as time of year and holiday weekends can affect that. It is best to give us a call and check on availability for the weekend you are thinking of doing the tour.
We only take 16-20 people on an investigation, then split everyone into smaller groups, so even if a night is pretty busy, you will investigate in a small group.
Please let us know if you have any other questions,
