This is a great tour! Pablo and Brit are a great team and they each have their own unique photography styles to bring to the table. Pablo looks for the perfect scene to capture while Brit likes to pay attention to the small details. They are extremely talented and knowledgeable and will give you excellent directions on how to use your camera. I had a blast and came out of the tour feeling like a photographer! I highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I went to Savannah for our 45th wedding anniversary. I am amateur photographer who for many years has used a Pentax digital employing only automatic settings. I saw Capturing Savannah photography on Trip Advisor and although being somewhat hesitant, decided to give it a try. I had a three hour tour as the only participant. To say Pablo is passionate about photography is somewhat of an understatement.
I learned more about photography in three hours than I have learned the entire 63 years of my life. I was shooting in manual mode almost instantly and was taking pictures I would not even thought of attempting prior to my experience with Pablo.
Besides learning what I would classify as basic mechanics, Pablo explained the artistic side of photography on what makes a photograph become a work of art rather than just a snapshot.
Besides the fantastic learning experience, Pablo is as good ambassador for Savannah as any tour guide. His knowledge of the city and its history was impressive.
Pablo operates at 90 miles per hour plus and I could see he was worried about the aging Kansan in the heat and humidity of Savannah trying to keep up with him.
I can only say, the three hours I spent with Pablo and Capturing Savannah was one of, if not the highlight of my trip to Savannah.

If you have ANY interest in photography, learning how to use your settings on your camera, taking any kind of pictures, go on this tour! I got a new camera for Christmas and had no idea how to use all the settings to take the great pictures my camera is capable of taking. I went on this tour with Britt and Pablo, now I feel like a pro (I at least feel like I know something.)It was nice getting hands on training. They take their time with you and make sure you understand. You also get a little information about Savannah while walking around the city taking pictures. Take this tour before you explore the city, in order to get great pictures while you are here. I took the tour on our last in Savannah. Now I wish I could go back and retake all my pictures!

I can't stop talking about what a wonderful time I had with Pablo and Britt. I am an amateur photographer who always used the automatic settings on my camera because I did not know any better. In a short time, Pablo and Britt had me not only using all the different settings on my camera but understanding when and how to use them. They use a hands on approach and worked with me to compose my pictures and enable me to take interesting photos instead of the boring photos I was used to taking. Even on the days after my session I was able to use the handouts they provided and continue to take better pictures than I ever had before.
I found Pablo and Britt to be extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They are fun, caring people and my 3 1/2 session seemed like 5 minutes.
I would highly recommend the private tour to anyone interested in improving their skills and having a fun time.

My girlfriend and I came up from Orlando. We've done many tours in other cities we've visited, but this has to have been the best. For starters, Pablo and Britt are two extremely passionate and engaging individuals. This goes for photography and also Savannah itself. The passion of their craft just oozes out and it's so clear how much they want to share that and teach others. They know ALL the history of Savannah, every nook and cranny, and everything about its architecture. It'd be worth it to do this tour just to listen to them. But, of course, there's more - the photography.
We're both amateurs, know the basics of using cameras, but that's it. We brought a point and shoot along with a DSLR. After a quick Q&A from Panlo and Britt to gauge our skill level and what we would like to come away with, we were off and running - taking photos, that is. They helped us with all the basics and then the finer points of framing shots and using the best settings on your camera. They taught us how to create a story with your pictures. The hours we spent with them flew by. I'll write another short review once we're back home so we can include some of our, now, better trained pictures. You can't go wrong on this tour. We visited Savannah for the history and, let's face it, who doesn't take tons of pictures on vacation? You can't beat learning how to maximize those pictured memories along with learning, simultaneously, the history of this amazing city. After all, the pictures are all that's left after your vacation is over. Your memories fade but thE pictures last forever. And get this: Pablo and Britt asked us to email them anytime with questions on photography, a new camera purchase, anything they can help with. Now THAT'S personable and this comes from two people who've been living in Orlando for decades each and have been in the hospitality industry the same amount of time there. We know service and cost benefit ratio. This tour is incredibly worth it. We can't wait to do it again on our next visit.
Thanks Pablo and Britt for such a wonderful experience.

Pablo and Britt were excellent photographers, teachers and tour guides. They were very flexible, knowledgeable, and good at explaining photography concepts. Rain or shine, this is a fabulous investment. You will learn about Savannah and photography and when the tour is over, have two new friends and great photos (from any level of camera or smart phone). It rained almost the whole length of my tour but I think I got better, more interesting photos because of it...so don't cancel even if the weather doesn't cooperate!

We had an amazing time with Pablo and Britt on our photo tour of Savannah. I am a beginner with my midrange Nikon, and I had been itching to get myself off of the auto and semi-auto modes. Within the first 5 minutes of the tour, Pablo took me aside and said those few words that are dreaded by a beginner..."switch it to 'M'." His instruction was very clear and appropriate for my level, and he made me feel more comfortable with my camera, settings, and my own potential within minutes.
Britt and Pablo together are a wonderful team. They really complement each other well, and while one was giving instruction, the other was giving history of the city. And they were both fantastic with our kids (ages 5, 7, and 9). Pablo seemed to have even more fun chasing the kids and snapping candids, than we did ourselves! :) The pair of them are so pleasant, relaxed, patient, humble, and personable, that we felt like we were hanging out with a new couple of buddies by the end of the tour.
I couldn't think of a better way to spend a few hours in a beautiful city, than to learn the city with a tour, and have the huge bonus of being able to take home the visual representation of our memories of the day with high-end professional photos from Pablo and Britt.
Since we only live a few hours away in Florida, I am sure we have found our new family photographers for our future life events. Thanks again Pablo and Britt! I can't wait to send them some of my pics as I continue to practice what I have learned!

Pablo took me out on tour and taught me things I didn't even know my camera could do! He was very enthusiastic and let me stop wherever my eye was taking me. He answered all of my questions and critiqued my photos as we went along. Instead of blowing smoke or telling me what was wrong, he would ask me and help guide me to the answer. As a school teacher, I know that kind of patience is not taught, but inherent. We had a wonderful tour of the city and were more like friends then student and teacher. I was very comfortable asking questions about photography that had nothing to do with looking at Savannah and he answered and/or modeled everything. This is a tour I hope to come back and take again. I don't think the tour is ever the same twice!

I got a last-minute call from Britt telling me that the afternoon tour had suddenly become available. Little did I know that I was in for the experience of a lifetime! I had decided that I would only use a new ultra-wide angle zoom lens that I had purchased. Their response? "Cool! I'll do the same thing! This is going to be fun!" Pablo and Britt spent about a half hour explaining how best to take advantage of my new lens' characteristics. We then spent three hours walking around Savannah, soaking in the sights and taking pictures. Throughout the tour, they showed me new techniques, new vantage points, and new ways of seeing things.
Even though neither is a native, their insider knowledge of the city is amazing. I learned about history and visited all kinds of little hidden gems. When our three hours was up, they still had a few places that they wanted to show me, so we spent about another half hour as the light got better and better. As we parted ways, they gave me some dinner recommendations, asked me to keep in touch, and told me that they'd love to keep up our conversation about photography.
Pablo and Britt are about the nicest people you will ever meet. They are excellent photographers and outstanding teachers. I would plan another trip to Savannah just to do this tour again.

I must say, our experience on our Photography tour with Pablo & Britt was the highlight of our Savannah Trip! I am a lifelong photographer, and had decided about 2 years ago to build my passion into a professional career as a photographer.... I have a great eye, and natural abilities, and all the passion, but I had a lot to learn to master camera settings and how to operate my new Cannon EOS 60D. While in Savannah for my birthday w/ my now Fiancé and my two boys ( ages 8 & 11), wanted to get in some fun tours. When I came across Pablo & Britt's photography tour, I was very excited for this opportunity to explore this amazing city I love with a guided tour through the city and an expert tour on photography. Pablo and Britt were AMAZING! They were so fun, and made learning interesting. They also were amazing with my boys, who were only armed w/ Disposable digital cameras, but who were interested in learning. They helped the boys w/ framing and creative ideas for how to shoot. More importantly they helped me understand my camera, and I learned so much, so fast- on lighting and shooting w/ all the settings such as f stop/ISO and Shutter speed & how the three all can work together to create great shots with out a flash. My growth in that short 3 hr tour was immense. My fiancé was armed w/ my cannon G12, and we also learned better how to operate that cameras settings.
All in all if you love photography, Savannah, and want to learn more and hang out with two very cool people, you MUST try their tour! 8 thumbs up (2 from each of us!!)
PS, the tips and pointers they gave me, have stuck with me and have truly helped me grow as a photographer!

Charles did end up contacting us! Thanks for the help past clients, in directing him to our contacts! Britt had a wonderful tour with Charles and his wife this morning!

You need to ask them directly on the web site. I paid about 100 and felt that it was worth every penny. I now use that experience as the measure of what I expect from every private photo tour.
