Shannon had an immense library of knowledge from which to pull over the course of our 2+ hour tour including symbolism of the details on the various gates, plots, and even the layout of the cemetery, history of the Freemason influence on various Savannah stalwarts, extensive background "residents" buried and he shared his information in an engaging, entertaining, and passionate... Love all the history this tour packs in. Go early and bring water, can get hot. The monuments alone are worth the price but Shannon is an awesome guide and can answer anything about this cemetary.

Loved this tour! The stories are incredible and the knowledge Shannon is is outstanding! He was very personable and didn't rush through anything even though we went over time. So worth the money and time. It's truly a fascinating city and cemetery!

8/17/2016 - This tour with Shannon should be one of the first things you do in Savannah. It will provide a great foundation for the other things you will see and hear in the city. Even in the heat this tour is a must. Shannon is an outstanding guide and brings to life (no pun intended) the history of Savannah... More

This tour is a "must do" if you are interested in the history of this amazing cemetary and its inhabitants. This was our first visit to the Savannah area but will definitely not be the last. Can't wait to visit again and soak up more of the knowledge of Shannon Scott. He was so informative you can't hardly remember everything... More

I booked this tour through Viator and went on the 10am tour 07/13/2016. Shannon arrived promptly and off we went. He is easy to follow and speaks with a clear voice with good volume. You will be able to hear his narration of Savannah's history, culture, literature, and how the Victorians viewed a cemetery. He has chosen several grave sites... More

My husband and I took our 15 year old and 12 year old daughters with us to the 10 am tour with Shannon. We were so impressed with his story telling and extreme knowledge of the cemetery. (Even when asked about sites other than the ones he was planning on discussing!) If we come back to Savannah we will definitely... More
