This is wonderful place to stroll the stone streets and listen to the street musicians . The Ships find their way down the river to the Bay. And the steam wheeler s are lined up along the sides.

No one should leave Savannah without going to the fantastic Riverfront Plaza. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking, but all worth it.

The waterfront area of Savannah is delightful. Interesting historic architecture, shops, stalls, bars, restaurants and the waving girl statue at the end. Enjoyed people watching and the passing boats.

I enjoyed this area for the architecture, the river and river traffic, the people watching and one or two of the shops. Otherwise it's a typical tourist shop/buy/eat attraction. Parking is tough but use patience. I liked the upper area as much as the walk...More

Be sure to include Riverfront Plaza on your walk through town. Old mills that used to serve the wharf are now shops and restaurants along the waterfront. Fireworks show on the first Friday night of the month,.
