Wonderful walking area along the river with benches to sit and watch the large container ships and tug boats. Can take the free trolley along the waterfront ( yes it runs on rails), was not running in mid week January when we were there. The free water taxi was running and we did it- went from historic waterfront to the... More

All streets in Savannah lead back to the Savannah River with its inviting cobble-stoned street and narrow sidewalk. The Plaza separates the river from the old cotton warehouses that now house restaurants and shops. It is a more tranquil place with a grassy expanse, numerous benches, a broad concrete walk and interesting monuments. Weary walkers and shoppers will find the... More

Whereas most of River Street feels busy and crowded, the plaza has a lot more open space and people take their time. Plenty of sitting room and nice views of the waterfront only complete the picture. On the weekend, a few street venders and performers show up to liven things up. Otherwise, stop by to catch your breath and watch... More

We came in here in chilly January and we easily found parking right next to Trolley shop. It's easy walk around and we enjoyed it! There are a lot of souvenirs shops, candy and food and bar places around here. There are some boutique shops on upper level where you need to take stairs. There are also nice views of... More

Walking along the waterfront was interesting. The traffic on the cobblestone streets, the restaurants, ice cream shops and candy stores and the traffic on the river all added interest to exploring Savannah

We drove all along the river and watched all the tourists. The shops and restaurants all looked too touristy to stop. It's great for pics.

It was my daughter's first time in Savannah so we just wanted to walk around a little. We ended up at the riverfront mid Sunday morning. The area was clean and keep up. She enjoyed it since it was her first time but after stopping at a couple of shops that sold the same stuff, she was done with shopping.... More

Riverfront Plaza is a perfect place to get a sense of Savannah past and present. You can stroll River Street's shops and visit its restaurants or casually sit on a bench ( and there are many of them) to watch the river traffic flow by. You can gaze in awe and respect at the unique (10 foot globe split in... More

This is a great place to stroll and check out some interesting boutiques, gift shops etc Vic's is located on this street and as well as having very good coffee, has an elevator which goes to its restaurant or outdoor dining patio area, also great if you are having trouble walking on some of the more cobbled streets ( a good tip)... Right on the water, a collection of very old historic buildings. A quaint place to shop for tourist items, clothing and more. Walk down the stairs and enjoy the waterfront.
