Should not be missed while in Savannah. There are great restaurants and very nice gift shops. The candy and ice cream shops are fun. This is a great place for familiies.

The view is beautiful but it's all about t-shirts and chain restaurants serving your typical deep fried fare. I suggest a quick walk through.

The larger commercial everything is here. Great restaurants, bars, hotels and crowd pleasing shops (candy, ice cream...) Enormous container vessels ply the river while one strolls or eats. Its kinda like the Panama Canal without the locks.

Fun to visit, with the river, cruises, shops and lots of places to sit, eat, drink, etc. Don't forget people watching! Lots of very old (by USA standards) buildings near the river. Crowded with a few locals and lots of tourists.

The riverfront is a nice relaxing walk with many shops along the way. Plan on spending a couple hours there and watch the ship's cruise through the river channel. Great relaxing way to spend the day.

One simply must spend a few hours doing the tourist thing, and this is the place for it in Savannah. The nice aspect for me was the very nice riverside park opposite the buildings, where I could sit and watch ships while the family explored...More

Great shops to go thru and buy those things you will never use again. Worth spending a few hours to shop, eat and see the river traffic.

Terrific area to stroll and take in all the shops, restaurants and bars! This part of Savannah is well known for their "to go" cups so you can order a drink and keep on strolling if you want.
