If this area were not covered by a shadow of threatening violence it would probably be a good place to go. Unfortunately, it has a fairly well earned bum rep. Its a party place with some very good music. Too bad.

I’ve been here for decades. Lousy experience New Year’s Day. As we leave walk past three bums. Had my mother in law wife and college aged son. One of them says twice : “I’ll suck your toes for a cheeseburger “ Real classy Savannah. City...More

Closed off streets with shops, restaurants, seating in the middle of the street for some of the restaurants. Live music on the Saturday afternoon that we visited. Couples, families and their dogs.

City Market was a little loud, due to the onsite live music, but offers carry out drinks and lots of seating on benches. There are a number of nice shops to pop in and out of. The surprise delight here was a very nice lady...More

The restaurants are plenty and lots of places to buy and carry out a drink while you stroll through the streets. It was quite crowded but felt real safe. Parking garage located right on the block. Check out the cute stores!

You’ll find many entertainment options at the city market. There are restaurants, bars, stores, live bands at night, and the carriage tours start here as well. It’s inbthe middle of the historic district, so you’ll be close to other attractions as well.

We were told it’s the busiest week between Christmas and New Years and they weren’t kidding. Lots of little shops and bars and restaurants. There were live bands there all day Sunday.

During the day, it's best for retail shopping, grabbing lunch, or checking out a tour or two. When the sun is down, the tunes are poppin' and there is dancin' in the streets. You can stop into a bar and get a drink in a...More

This area is described as having a lot of shopping, restaurants, etc. To call it a "market" is misleading. It's pretty limited for shopping, maybe 3-4 shops and then just a bunch of bars. We were here during the day but it was still fairly...More

Located in the middle of the historic district, this 3 block area has several restaurants, shops and souvenir vendors. It is also where you would start your horse-drawn carriage tour.

Hello..No problem finding some excellent restaurants for Holiday Turkey Dinner. If you go on the website of Old Town Trolley, you can find out when open and the times.

The Pirates House has a good menu if you don't mind being away from the hub of activity found on River Street and City Market areas.
