Mad Cat Tours is a small group of expert guides, history nerds, true crime fans and folklorists, offering tours with a difference; we have fun and we give back to our community. A portion of every ticket sold goes to the preservation of our amazing historic home cities, as well as donation drives for the Humane Society, supporting their tireless work to protect and care for all animals.

Hell Cat and Old Scratch Tours

I come to Savannah a couple times every year and I always do as many ghost tours as I can. They are always fun but this is the first time I have been impressed enough to write a review.
I did the Old Scratch tour first and it covered several locations that other tours had gone but the storyteller absolutely sent chills down my spine. One lady on our tour actually cried! And our guide was able to answer every single question in a detailed fashion. Seriously impressive.
So the next night I did the Hell Cat tour. Different route, different stories and even more spooky. I had trouble getting to sleep that night and my boyfriend seemed uneasy too.
Don't get me wrong, the guides were both fun but the stories were sincerely chilling. Exactly what you want from a ghost tour.
We stopped for a break on each tour and were able to use the restroom and grab a drink. The tours were around two hours each and the guide hung out with us after the tour and talked history and folklore.
I cannot reccomend this company more.
Apparently Mad Cat Tours is relatively new and the guide told me they do History tours as well. Next time I come back to Savannah I am touring with them again.
Do it! You won't regret it.

Come on the ghost tour excited to learn about the ghosts of Savannah!

We participated in the Bad Kitty Haunted Bar Crawl and had Lori as our tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and fun, she’s a very animated storyteller who knows how to keep a group engaged. Every bar we went to was a great time, Lori had great drink recommendations, and let us all take our time in getting drinks and enjoying the atmosphere at each bar. One bar on the crawl is not open to the general public, it is only open to a few tour companies, and we had a very enjoyable experience being the only group inside. Our final destination was a small speakeasy that had very few guests and was quite an enjoyable place to end our night. Lori was the highlight of our trip to Savannah! We cannot say enough about her! Would love to come back and do another tour with her!

Gory but humorous tour

Sarah was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and had a lot of energy. Our tour group was fairly small (11 people total) which was nice. Sarah walked us around what seemed like the entire historic district. Sarah's stories were really interesting. She was able to add a bit of humor to her stories despite some of them being gory and a bit disturbing.

The tour lasted 3 hours. We stopped at 4 bars total and then the tour ended next to another bar so my boyfriend and I ended up going to 5 bars total. You can walk around Savannah with drinks as long as they are in a plastic cup. Sarah provided drink recommendations at each bar but didn't push anything on us. No one felt obligated to buy drinks or order something specific.

Would recommend this tour to others!

We loved the tour! The stories were crazy and full of details, we learned about cool architecture facts around the city and stopped at bars that served unique, delicious drinks that I would have never come across on our own. Connor, our guide, was an excellent!

Megan was AMAZING !! she was so informative and so kind. She had the best suggestions for shots and was willing to answer any question with ease. It was my first time doing a tour like this and she exceeded all expectations of how a tour should be. Absolutely wonderful.

Do NOT waste your money!

Do NOT waste your money on this one. The pub crawl is NOT a pub crawl at all. Ducked out of this tour 3/4 of the way there to bar hop on our own. Story teller was awful and not very engaging at all. Boring tour all together. Went in plenty if other tours that were so much better. Choose a different one for sure.

Morons For Life!

My wife and I went on the Savannah for Morons tour. They did a really great job, very entertaining and fun. If you're looking for a serious history tour do a walking tour and visit some of the historic sites first then kick back and relax on the trolley and let the Moron Twins dance and make you laugh.

The Purrrfect Introduction to Savannah!

We took Mad Cat's "Curious Cat History Tour" with Horizon. Her passion for Savannah and deep knowledge of its history, paired with her charisma and humor, made this not only the best of several tours we've taken in Savannah, but possibly the best guided tour experience in all of our travels. Horizon's native born and bred, spot-on recommendations for what else to see and do have been invaluable in getting the most out of the rest of our stay. Book this tour as near to your arrival as possible. Thanks so much, Horizon!

Our tour guide, Rocky, was amazing!! Kind, patient, knowledgeable and just a great personality. Our group had so much fun with the people in our party as well as the other people that joined in. We stopped at great places HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Absolutely fun with an amazing Guide

The tour was sooooo fun, we had a blast. Thank you Lori for being such an amazing guide and so informative. I was excited to go on the tour and it exceeded all of my expectations. I would definitely go back and I recommend her as a tour guide, she knew the ins and outs of Savannah and a lot of the scary stories behind it. Thank you again!
