Dan is The Man! He captures the mood of ghost stories with great ease and keeps you totally enthralled. The walk is easy and the stories, amazing! My husband, who isn't even in to ghost stories, enjoyed the entire tour. I've been on several other ghost tours in other areas of the country. This one is tops on my list.

We took this tour the night we arrived in town. It was a great introduction to the history behind the city with legends and haunts thrown in. This is not a “hokie” waste of time. It’s informative and educational with humor thrown in appropriately. The guide in period dress with the lantern drives it home. We had a good time.

I love taking ghost tours when I visit a historic city not just because I like to be scared but also to learn about local folklore. This tour was well narrated and interesting as well as being fun. It also covered some stories I had not heard on other tours. Definitely worth checking out.

This was a great tour all the way around. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Savannah’s history and presented it in a way that left you hanging to his every word, without all the paranormal activity nonsense. Very well done and well worth the price of the tour + tip.

We were in Savannah on Friday the 13th and thought this would be fun. We enjoyed the history but the stories are not that scary if that is what you are looking for. Our guide (Taylor??) made the tour so much fun!! He was so friendly and entertaining. It was a great time and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank You!!

It was the first time my friend and I went to Savannah, and we were looking forward to a haunted tour of the historic district since it is one of the main attractions the city is renowned for. Beforehand, I was expecting the average tour where the guide points at historic houses and squares and spits out 2-3 sentences describing each one, but our tour guide Dan went beyond our expectations.

Dressed like a gentleman from the 1800's and holding a candle lantern, Dan takes you right back to the earlier days of the city. My friend and I were the only ones to sign up for the 7:00 pm tour, so we got a very personalized experience from Dan. He loves history, and for all the stations we stopped at during this walking tour, he had very detailed and factually accurate descriptions to set up the foundation before getting to the legends or haunted stories regarding those places, and he also shares his own take or analysis on those legends which I found very interesting. Believing the legends or not is totally up to you, but you're still getting your money's worth from the wonderful history lesson starting from Savannah's formation to slavery and Civil War, and leading up to the preservation of the historic district over the last decades. Whatever questions you might have, Dan will more than likely have an answer for you because he is extremely knowledgeable about this town. He is not just limited to haunted history, and you'll find him sprinkling out fun facts and trivia about the different locations in the historic district. Also, who knew Spanish mosses could be a symbol, possibly related to the supernatural?

This tour became the highlight of my trip in Savannah since we learned so much in such a short time and developed a new perspective of Savannah and its history. And when I got back to my car at the end of the evening, I found a strand of Spanish moss tangled to my umbrella, so I guess I brought back with me a piece of souvenir from the haunted side of Savannah.

I was disappointed in the COVID protocol. I confirmed before booking that masks are required. However, our guide opened with a statement (paraphrased) that although masks are required by the city it is not his job to enforce this. After he made this statement several members of the tour removed their masks. The guide removed his mask whenever he stopped to speak. Due to the large group size it was difficult to maintain social distance from those who removed their mask and still hear the guide.

On the positive side, our guide was a good story teller and provided a mix of historical details and spooky tales. It was a good evening activity to get a different perspective on the city. Our teen thought it was “just OK” but the adults enjoyed the stories when we could hear them. If it wasn’t for the COVID issues I would have rated the experience more positively.

Took this tour on a weekend away on our first night. It was fabulous. Dan - our guide - was a superb story teller and what we really liked was all the history we learned. We had a big group and I was a bit worried about hearing but Dan accommodated everyone well even taking questions and posing for pics. He was dressed in period clothing with a candle lantern. Recommend this for anyone!!!

Excellent tour! During our time in Savannah we did multiple walking tours and Dan's was the most factual (I checked afterwards on google), interesting and a fun evening activity for my husband and me! Highly recommend this tour.

There were 5 in my group who joined the tour last Friday night. Every one of us was entirely thrilled with our time spent. You can tell that Dan thoroughly enjoys what he does and just loves the history he shared with us. That totally makes this tour. He was so much fun, it made our tour so much more than what we had expected. This tour is totally worth it; I highly recommend to others.
