- Kathy L1 contributionAwesome! “Savannah Live” show!!What an amazing cast and show. We were blown away and had so much fun. The two hour show blew by in what seemed like minutes. Go…you will not be disappointed. Was worth every penny. We may come back to Savannah again just to see this show. Wish we lived closer. The energy and music was outstanding. And the cast was Broadway quality.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 20, 2023

- Jane C1 contributionPhenomenal Performances by the Cast!!! Engaging and Beautiful voices. TALENT!!!!Bravo! Bravo! This show will knock your socks off. The storyline is so interesting and I loved watching how Frankie Vali got started and his career over the years was incredible. The cast is so incredibly talented. The power of their voices is phenomenal and Frankie Vali's role was played to perfection. Matt and Mike continue to keep us on our toes with their comedy flair and talented performances and voices. This is real treat for Frankie Vali fans. (no kids - too much swearing) to make it realistic of the times. I'll be back before March 30th!Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 3, 2024
- Christopher SNashua, New Hampshire19 contributionsJersey Boys at the Savannah Theater is a real treat in a beautiful venueWe went to opening night for Jersey Boys at the Savannah Theater and had a great time. The Thea is relatively small so all the seats are very good. The show was put on by many local performers. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 11, 2024
- Patrick SDavie, Florida1,224 contributionsExcellentThey are always incredible. We now schedule our trips to Savannah around what's playing at the theatre. Years ago we were not aware of this gem and the concierge at the hotel asked if we would like to go to the theater. We went that evening, and we were hooked. Every show 5 star. We saw Jersey Boys on this trip and just loved it. The cast meets you in the lobby after the show and it is a pleasure to meet them.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 16, 2024

Did they say this is the oldest operating theater in the US? Well, it's been lovingly restored and is wonderful. We saw Beatles by Request, which is not a tribute with wigs and costumes, but a group of talented artists playing whatever Beatles songs the audience requested. A nice twist. There were probably a dozen performers on vocals and different instruments and they all sang a song at some point. Very energetic, clever and fun. Kudos to the cast and hurray for the joint; a great evening.

We attended "Legends Live On" on 10/28/21 & it was an amazing show!! The theatre itself is breathtaking -- the architectural detail is intricate and mesmerizing, much like many other buildings in Savannah. The owners have done a fantastic job at keeping the historic feel of the original theatre, while also updating to include modern amenities. The performance was also very entertaining! I'm so glad we were in town during the "Legends Live On" show because it was a ton of fun, while also getting to experience the beautiful theatre. Would definitely go back the next time we are in town & highly recommend seeing a show at the Savannah Theatre!!

We had a wonderful time last night at the performance of A Christmas Tradition. Sadly we had to leave the show a few minutes early due to a prior obligation. We regret having had to leave, but loved every minute we did get to experience. We will always recommend attending a show at the Savannah Theatre to any friends who travel to Savannah because it is just so good and so wholesome. The staff are beyond friendly, and the way they treat US military is humbling.

This beautiful theatre is set in a picturesque location. I found the theatre to be clean and safe and following the covid regulations. they required masks to be worn when out of your seat. And the seating was every other row and at least 2 seats in between each party. As for the cabaret show the entertainment was good wholesome fun. They encouraged you to sing along and enjoy your self. The performers were good and the music was varied across many generations. All in all it wasn’t broadway but it was a fun night out on the town.

This is our second time seeing this wonderful Christmas Show. The theater is beautifully restored Art Deco style with great history since the early 1800’s. We love the Christmas Tradition performance. So festive & entertaining. The cast are incredibly talented. We love how the show features dancing, singing, acrobatics, comedy & even children in their acts. The show was about 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission which was the perfect amount of time. We like the seats in first row balcony center & have a perfect view of everything on stage without being to close. The theater spaced out seating for Covid comfort. The concession stand serves the usual popcorn, candy & drinks however they also have wine & the most delicious warm peach cobbler.

The Legends Live On show was a wonderful treat! The headliner group, Legacy, is made up of three very talented young men. The other performers in the show were a Broadway songstress, an acrobat and an amazing band. All hosted by a gentleman who was a great vocal talent himself. The music performed was mainly pre 1980s but there was a sampling of songs from later decades. It was an enjoyable evening and I highly recommend you see them.

We attended the Holiday Traditions performance last night which was our first experience at the Historic Savannah Theatre. What an awesome performance! In fact, it may well be the best theatre performance we have ever attended and that includes Broadway. The level of singing, dancing, musical performance and production was incredibly high for a lesser known venue. And the music selection for the occasion was absolutely perfect. Imagine, Christmas music at Christmas! Wow! And honoring the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was first and foremost throughout the evening. Many traditional Christmas carols, songs and recitations mixed with newer compositions like “Mary, Did You Know” were performed reverently and beautifully. We will be checking out future performances at the theatre throughout the year but certainly at Christmas. Bravo 👏

If you are looking for a fun time in a historic setting, go to the Savannah Theatre and see “Legends Live On”. The singing was great, the music was lively and you can sing along with the performers. We are real Broadway snobs and honestly didn’t expect much. But boy were we proven wrong! I doubt there is a bad seat in the house, we sat up front and danced in our seats. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss “Legends Live On” with the group Legacy (and no, I’m not their mother)

Please support this great institution. Go see THE LEGENDS LIVE ON! show now through February 14th. It's a must see if you are visiting Savannah. You will enjoy the music from The Beatles to Bruno Mars. The 4 man group Legacy is awesome performing songs and dance moves from all periods of music including the Jackson 5, Boys to Men, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Doo Wop, Jersey Boys to name a few. Alex Hairston also performs her music from Carol King, Celine Dion, and Donna Summers. The live band is wonderful too, playing instrumental solos. The theatre is safe during these covid times. Seating is every other row and empty seats between parties. You won't be disappointed.

How is the view from the front row? Are you looking up all the time and can you see everything that close?
Written October 7, 2019
I’m not sure what the view is from the front row. When I ordered the tickets over the phone, I asked that person where they would sit for the best view and they recommended 6 to 8 rows from the stage. I was pleased with their suggestion.

not a dress up town. just about anything works.

If I purchase tickets through here, how do I know what seats I’m getting?
Written May 2, 2019
Easy, call and ask which seats are available. Again, not a bad seat in the house. I would book say rows 4-10 in the middle. Awesome.
