We had the best boat trip today and can’t recommend this high enough. The crew are so entertaining and also very informative on the local area. Seeing dolphins in their natural habitat was amazing and an experience we will never forget. This is a must do on a visit to Savannah!

Don't let the title of this review fool you - I fell down because I was so excited to see a dolphin!
How's that for advertising?
I essentially forced my new husband to go on this tour with me because dolphins were one of my late mother's favorite animals. Romantic for a honeymoon excursion, right? I was not super hopeful that we'd see any dolphins. It's a river, after all. But lo and behold! We not only saw SEVERAL dolphins, we saw a bald eagle on the river, too! Connor and Matt were the best tour guides ever - funny, and knowledgable, and willing to entertain our conversation. We had an absolutely amazing time, and wanted to go again before we left, but ran out of time! We will DEFINITELY be back. OH, also - bring sunscreen. I got fried.

We loved the whole trip. We considered others and finally decided on Dolphin Magic because it advertised a longer trip than others and we wanted to also see the Savannah River from downtown. The trip did not disappoint. Plenty of seats for everyone, good crew, just enough info and music to keep it interesting, and enough honesty about food sources and weather conditions to temper our expectations. But in the end, once we reached Tybee Island we spent half an hour in the middle of a pod of beautiful and playful wild dolphins. Perfect afternoon trip for my daughter’s birthday. So much so I forgot to take pictures and just enjoyed it.

Our family (5 excited kiddos) headed to Savannah for the day from Hilton Head, where we were vacationing for the week. We booked online with Dolphin Magic. On the website it says to call prior to booking. We called, but there was no answer. We listened to the voice recording, which does NOT state to NOT order unless you speak to a live person. We went ahead and ordered our tickets online, arrived and were told they had a lot of walk up customers and they were full! We were told, no worries our $165 would be refunded through PayPal. We were never asked if we wanted to come back the next day, very poor customer service. When I spoke with Amy, she said that this is "their busy time!" No excuse! The attitude of the attendant at the boat was not helpful, did not show empathy or offer any solutions other than our money will be refunded. If you have the technology for customers to order online, you should have the ability to see if reservations have been already paid online before filling the boat with walk up customers!!! Very disappointed!

Our family recently took a dolphin cruise on Dolphin Magic. It was so much fun. We spotted several dolphins, including one that swam next to our boat for some time. Connor and Captain Matt were helpful at educating us on the sights along the river as we made our way down river. The scenery in the marshes was beautiful and tranquil, so when you're cruising along on the river, it is a fun and relaxing ride. We would highly recommend this cruise, especially if you are looking for something to do on the ater.

I brought my kids (8 & 4) on the trip as something fun to do over the weekend. They do have life vests available for kids and adults. The kids and I sat in the back, and got some of the water spray (by choice - we were warned) and we had a blast. Tim told jokes and gave some history lessons as we looked for dolphins. When we found the dolphins the kids' faces lit up. We got to see a mother and calf and then the dolphins even played in the wake of the boat as we left, so we got to see them jump and flip out of the water. It was so much fun, I'll definitely be back.

the pros is that you see dolphins as expected. Very nice, for kids and adults. You can also see huge cargo ships in The Savannah river.
The cons is that you spend most of the time to and from the dolphins area. Only about 30 minutes out of two hours cruise are with dolphins. I assume that it's because that the cruise starts at the city and not from the island (although the cruise from the island are 45 minutes shorter)

Matt and Tim are a perfect duo. Informative while we were cruising out to the dolphins. They put us on top of some beautiful dolphins. And when it was time to head back they got the dolphins to follow us and jump our wake. Definitely worth the money and time. Thank you!

We went on this tour on a whim, and we were so glad we did! We’re traveling with our Great Dane, and the guys we’re graciously accommodating! Our three kids really enjoyed it as well...
HIGHLY recommended!

We stopped in Savannah on our way to DC from Texas. My youngest saw the info in the hotel for the Dolphin Magic boat tour. Booking online and then using a coupon code the price was approx $25 for adults and $12 for kids 11 and under. We saw lots of Dolphins, dolphins and more dolphins. Also saw all of the forts and lighthouses in the area. Our Captain was Josh and I believe our guide was Sasha. They were fabulous!!! The tour was great and we still had time to go to Tybee Beach that afternoon. Also pet friendly. You can bring drinks and snacks in the boat. Bring lots of water. Also, $15 make sure to bring an extra $15 bucks for parking. Overall, great experience!!!
