Okay so shops and restaurants close early if it's not Friday or Saturday. Savannah gets lit only on these two nights. Outside of that, it's typically very quiet here but the River Street walk is worth the visit.

I was hoping for interesting shops and a fun walk by the water - but instead it was T-shirt shops and bars.

Aside from early mornings, the Riverfront is bustling with tourists, local vendors, musicians, magicians and everyone in between. Plenty of trinket shops, candy stores, restaurants and unique happy hour libations. Drinking is rampant here and can sometimes cause a little more entertainment then anticipated, but...More

Nice place to spend a couple of hours walking along the river, watching people and enjoying the scenery. Several nice shops here with both touristy merchandise and unique items. Also a number of nice restaurants to grab a bite or a drink.

River Street has so many things to offer -- restaurants, bars, shops, and a riverfront park where you can sit and just watch people or the freighters travel down the river.

A lot of movement during the day, but nice and calm in the early morning. Took a sightseeing cruise while there. Great spot to get a quick bite to eat or a sit down meal. Also will find souvenir shops along the way as well....More

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!
